OMO, how lovely to see you back!
Feisty, the churney looks scrummy!
Poppa, glad you feeling chipper.
Welcome to the newbies.
Not been a great week, discovered at the beginning of the week that the family we having been supporting is also being supported by the charity which is in their area, unbeknownst to both. Discovered it at an area meeting when discussing some cases. Still trying to work out how I feel about it. We don't have a meeting for a couple of weeks, so I can't do anything, which I wouldn't do until I discuss it with the others.
Ended it this morning by having to go to a funeral. He was a lovely gentle gentleman, and the funeral really upset me. He was widowed with 1 son, who became a JW, dad was a Catholic, it meant that the front row was empty, it was so upsetting that this lovely man, who adored his only child, took second place to his sons' religion. I fully respect he chose his religion, but there is no need to be so narrow minded.
On the plus side, bought an a6 size word search in The Works for £2, could be handy stocking filler if someone likes to keep their brain active. Went in to pick up one of the display folders, desperately need to get recipes filled. They were only £1.50, so picked up a few of them.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Hellooooo  I have been really MIA recently!! I will aim to do a bit of catch up tomorrow. I have not done my September craft yet, nor have I decided what to make
I have brought a couple more 'filler' choccie presents for Christmas. A bit stuck on what to get odd people, really feel a bit lacking in inspiration atm, maybe I need some time scrolling Pinterest gift ideas...
Right, off to bed, back tomorrow when I've had a bit of a read. In the meantime, hugs to those in need and hello to newbiesChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Evening everyone, there are some disadvantages to buying early for christmas, i have been reading on twitter and there are a lot of people complaining about the led light box i bought DS for christmas saying that some of the letters are missing, i am now in a quandary as i have wrapped it and put it away, do i unwrap and check or leave it and hope for the best????
CHRISSY oh thanks for that info i thought if you qualify for free it had to be done at the drs surgery, i will find out

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY oh my lovely do you feel as if you have been misled by this family? You have done so much for them and thinking about helping out for christmas as well. What a shame the son couldnt have attended his fathers funeral

Newthrift have you emerged from the lure of Pinterest yet lol?
Peppa-' scamp' isn't the word that first comes to mind for most of Baileys escapades! No rescuing the craft challenge- it has to be a complete new start, this time without assistance from my little helper.
GTQ perhaps the family are so desperate that they need help from both quarters or perhaps aren't aware that they shouldn't take help from both? It would be a shame if they intentionally misled you after all the work you have put into them x How sad about the son not attending his dads funeral.
Sammy- I did giggle about your DH!
Free- I would open the lightbox, nothing worse than having a present that has bits missing. Enjoy your time with Thumper- ambush him for cuddles if need be lol!
Pavlovs dog- thanks for updating the list
Chrissy- I never knew that the chemist did flu jabs free if you are eligible either. Thanks cus sometimes DH just cant get to the GP for his.
Pinksteps- hows things?
shortnsweet- I made my cake few weeks ago and feed it a tablespoon of rum every other week to keep it moist and so it can stagger to the Christmas table.
Vulpix- good news that the gardening is coming to an end but knowing you, you will have another project lined up ready to take its place! Can I have some of your stamina please??
I have spent the morning trying to replicate a word document of a quote I saw on Pinterest. Easy I thought - not so easy said Microsoft Word! Its done now (at last) so I need to get myself sorted- I haven't even brushed my hair!!lovin' this site!

Hi all, i've been AWOL for a little while as we went on holiday to Butlins this week. I must say I was really impressed with Butlins, I wasn't expecting much but there was loads going on and Wiggle absolutely loved it, there was so much free entertainment for him. We went on a Just for Tots break and i'd really recommend it for toddlers. The only trouble was Wiggle had a couple of almighty tantrums, the worst we've had yet - I think because of over-stimulation and tiredness. Plus he got ill on the last night we were there, a raging temperature and diarrhoea which was a bit stressful bless him. Now he's got a cold so we're just riding it out. We also had a bit of a stressful time before we went as DH and I realised that the builders at our new house had built our dining room wall in the wrong place, so we lost nearly a foot of a room that wasn't very big in the first place! We didn't know if they could move it or not as it had a supporting pillar in it but thankfully they've moved it whilst we were away. We were just a bit angry that it hadn't been picked up before and that we found it! It got us worried thinking about what else might be wrong!
I really need to get my head around Christmas, because we've still got a big house move to come and lots of bits we need for it I'm finding it hard to focus on Christmas!
Anyway I haven't read back yet, I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'll read back ASAP, but big hugs to anyone who needs them in the meantime! xx0 -
Its been a couple of nice days. Ŵent out with some friends last night. Had a lovely night with good chat and cocktails. Feeling a tad fragile today. But going out for a family meal later. I will be driving anyway as have the kids, thankfully as I don't think I could face a glass of wine.
my tesco had more reduced stuff. I got DS and DD1 little speakers for their iPods that look like a frog and a ladybird. And dd1 a selfie stick. Just fun things for their stockings. They also had kenwood food processors down from £30 to £5. I got the last one as a moving in gift for my sister.
Does anyone know how you get the wee Christmad tree badge icon? It's says you get it from using Megashopbot. I use it all the time but the badge hasn't even appeared. It makes me feel festive so I want one lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

!
I'm hoping that is the case, apparently we were supporting them before I joined the charity, so it may be that they didn't realise once they left our area, we should no longer support, but at the same time, she had a comfortable relationship with us. It will get sorted.:o:oA smile costs little but creates much0
