Just added Debenhams to the list.
Quite quiet for me at the moment. I've got a (TMI!) health problem and am waiting to see a GP.
:T Well done on your projects' progress everyone! And get well soon to those still under the weather.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Good morning
Was happy to see Christmas mentioned in the MSE email this week but it said 100 days until Christmas which is wrong - it's 100 days from tomorrow so 14 weeks on Sunday
did you hear about GBBO moving to channel 4? I'm not impressed but I'll probably still watch it!
ellie - I was the same, I saw that they mentioned it was 100 days and I was muttering to myself that they're wrong and if they were a true christmas fanatic they would know that it was just over 100 days.
I also saw the GBBO news and wasn't too bothered about it moving to channel 4 but then I heard a rumour that Jamie Oliver was being considered as one of the judges and I have to be honest, I can't stand the guy, so if that is true then I won't be watching it anymore.0 -
Hello Everybody! I haven't been around much recently due to RL getting in the way but have just spent the last half hour having a good catch-up. Thanks again to all for the advice on my advent calendar boxes, I have taken lots of your advice on-board and now only have four more to fill.0

I'm totally with you re Jamie Oliver, I don't know what it is about him but he really irritates me! Although I do like some of his recipes (but I have found a way around this by only buying his books from charity shops, thereby I get the recipes, the charity gets a donation............and the poor smug multi-millionaire chef gets nowt.0

Nothing christmassy happening here , the panda mug came from Tams treasures but it leaks ! i have tried contacting them but the pages won't load so i've sent a message on f/b.
I have had to deal with a stroppy teen today as i booked us all in for flu jabs today and apparently 9am was far too early ! That comes under "tough luck " basically. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
*De-lurks*
Thank you for the heads up about the Matalan Christmas shop, until I looked their website today I had no idea that I needed special Christmas tea towels but it turns out I do! I really, really do!

CLUMSY I hope your ahem, problem is soon sorted out.
CARLISLE LASS I wrapped some pressies a couple of months ago but didn't label them had to open one recently cos I couldn't remember who it was for or what it was!
MURIE that must have been very difficult but it sounds like you've all found a way through. Glad you're back with us now though and hope everything works out.
VULPIX I should think you do need a rest after all that hard work in the garden. The weather here is supposed to change tomorrow, cooler and wet. I'm thinking that means I can probably leave the pot watering tonight
MONEYMISSION/BBB they were talking about the GBBO move on breakfast tv the other day but I couldn't watch it without the regulars plus it'll keep being interrupted by adverts and be more commercial. Apparently it's because it wasn't an in house idea from the BBC, they bought it from an independent company and the contract is now up. They offered a bid of £15m but channel 4 topped it. The guy on breakfast tv said the BBC may well make a similar programme of their own with a different name and if they can keep Mel and Sue and Paul and Mary then all will be well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hate cooking but for some reason I really like GBBO.
Come back SNORKY you can't leave now, LAZYSHEEP is right lol.
All fine here, my Cath Kidston Christmas planner arrived yesterday so that was very exciting. I really must get on with my SNOW CHALLENGE, I think I know what I'm going to do but I need to stop thinking and start doing. I'm determined that I won't finish late this month! It's my DH's birthday on Sunday so DD2 and DGD are coming to meet us and my mum for lunch then we'll all go round to DD1 to see the DGSs so should be a nice family day. SDD is coming tomorrow too so it's quite a family focussed weekend. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
I lost my message
From what I can recall, I just wanted to say to Free not to be so hard on yourself!
OMO wonderful to 'see' you!
Peppa, that is great about the chemo!
Sorry for anyone I've missed, blooming technology eh?
Well the log cabin arrived this morning, it is like an ikea flatpack from hell! I am very glad I will not be too involved with putting it together
I'm feeling a bit more prepared for the big day gift wise (and a wee bit festive too!) as I spent the day making chutney and making a start on strawberry jam! I've never made a chutney before, but it looks pretty good
It is spicy apple (free from the in-laws garden!) and tomato. It was pretty simple and I'm hoping to give the 3 smaller pots away in some hampers for xmas. I really need to place my studio order too as I have a £10 off a £30 spend, but it runs out the end of this month! I hate the bloody website though as everything is always showing as out of stock
I also picked up a set of 6 milk bottle and straws from the range which I am hoping to make into Santa's milk ready for a tradition with my little lady.
On a none festive note (but winter related) we have heard there is a localish pumpkin PYO farm and we've decided that our Halloween tradition will be to go and pick someI'm hoping they are eaters and not just carvers as I really hate the idea of chucking all that pumpkin goodness out!
Does anyone know how long a pumpkin will last once it's been picked? Apparently they get picked out pretty quickly, so I can't leave it too close to Halloween.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
