Well its official - I have a lurgy and to say I feel rough is an understatement.....so my best laid plans will now be replaced with painkillers and recouping on the sofa but I know that I wont be able to. Its raining here as well so the mood is well set!
Nic - enjoy your new car - its nice to have something new to you.
elliew - I am trying my best, I get spurts and with labyrinthitis I have to try and be as productive as I can when I can before a dizzy spell hits so I am really trying at the minute.
Thank you for the links Pavlova
Peppa - good luck with your collecting. We were collecting milk top lids for a local charity but they have decided they wont use them now so if anyone knows anywhere that do accept them please let me know and I will post them on! Can I also recommend Calms tablets, they are herbal and just help me to mellow out a little when I am having a day of it.
Chrissy - I work in retail too. (always have done) I'm very lucky that I work with a nice friendly and funny bunch of people that I actually look forward to going to work :-) I did christmas temping there and was invited back but some places I have worked before were horrid and I dreaded my shift.
MrsInvisible - thanks for the AWARE tip. Im loving the exploding eggs too......I have many culinary disasters (god loves a tryer right?) - I once made rice in a rice cooker and didn't add water too - that was interesting to say the least. :rotfl:
Money - its surprising how much rubbish can come from such a small persons room isnt it? She is only 6 and fair play has kept it immaculate since.....I still have my 12 year old sons room to do and am seriously considering packing a lunch and tying string to the door handle so I can find my way back out  he shares it on weekends with his 16 year old brother. If you see no posts from me after tomorrow - please send help!
Ive also discovered in the process of cleaning up that we have 3 spare fishtanks of various sizes.......:eek::eek::eek:.............why do we need/have/want 3 fishtanks! I have one in the kitchen with tetras in it but I have one in each bedroom, one in my sons room, one in my daughters and one in our bedroom.........why?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm actually thinking I might surprise the kids with a couple of fish each. Maybe just a goldfish for them to look after. Once the rooms are clean of course although my son did mention something about stick insects the other week and land snails!:eek:
Right - goals for today.......-
[STRIKE]
- ring swalec and set up direct debits
- ring Welsh water and set up direct debit[/STRIKE]
- take painkillers
- sort clothes mountain in bedroom
- pick up random extras that have appeared in the tidy rooms
- put clothes away into each bedroom
- tidy our bedroom
Realistically our bedroom shouldn't take long once the clothes are done because I only did it fairly recently so I will have a cup of tea first, take my painkillers, put some tunes on and away I go.
Also meant to ask
Would anyone be interested in a christmas card swap between us?? I'm happy to arrange it.
Righto, I will be back later - provided there isnt a clothing avalanche and I cant get out in my weakened state! :rotfl:Making Changes To Save My LifeCurrent weightloss - 2lbs (week 1)0 -

Afternoon all
I've just got back from a laser eye consultation and it's all booked in for next Saturday...which means I'm now bricking it quite a bit lol
Sammy, hope you're feeling better - the fact you've got labyrinthitis makes it even more impressive! I had to google it and it sounds painful, I'm a complete wuss when it comes to ears because I used to get ear infections a lot when I was younger so I can't imagine how you manage!
FreeSpirit I was happy about the money too, tried to give me less but I politely negotiated more and felt rather smug lol but the money is just going towards paying for my car so will help me out a lot
Peppa, glad to hear you've got another chemo out of the way, get those feet up and rest
Hope everyone else is all ok and busy with Christmassy stuffI'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:0 -

That's great news about the chemo peppa. I went into clintons today and they were selling selected children's Christmas wrapping paper 3 for £1.00. They had done very funny mug sets. One said trouble maker the other one said innocent bystander. I thought they were funny, priced at £3.99. :rotfl:
When in there I got three cards for £2 which were good value.
Went into boots and they have cordoned off shelves for the Christmas stock, I asked when it will all be out or online and she said the warehouses have it all in stock and in some stores the Xmas stock will be out end of September.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £320 -
Hi all
Peppa that's good news that chemo went ahead as planned. You grumpy and short tempered? Surely not?!!! I must confess that I have never found that those remedies work well for me- I always end up gagging when I use them, much to DHs amusement. I have a very tickle stomach lol! How's the dolls house coming on?
Hugs to everyone who is feeling less than special and under the weather x
Nic- glad you loving your new car
Sammy- the de cluttering can wait til you feel better.
Ellie- my DS's ex made skittle vodka once and I know what you mean about the colour- tastes good but the sight of it put you off!
Money mission- thanks for the heads up about Tesco tin chocs- despite saying I wouldn't get any 2 for £7 isn't bad so this morning I popped into Tesco and got some for 'stock'.
Vulpux- have you been cracking on with the garden taking advantage of the nice weather?
Pound land have small wooden crates (like old fashioned milk crates) that are quite nice if anyone is doing a beer or milkshake hamper using old fashioned milk bottles that seem to be everywhere. They have a strong rope handle that I think looks really nice, and are a dark stained wood but they could easily be painted.
I also got a set of 4 beer shot glasses in the shape of mini beer tankards which are really sweet.
Oh and yay I found an original Buzz Lightyear for DDs' (now ex) BF on ebay in good condition.
Argos have some good deals on Wahl stubble trimmers at the mo if anyone is after one of those. I have just reserved on reduced from £39.99 to £17.99 with good reviews.lovin' this site!

Hi everyone,
Hope you are well. I'm now on my second festive book this year, 'Christmas Cracker' by Trisha Ashley which is getting me in the Christmas mood. Also, finished making the lego trays for my nephews. Now just have to resist buying any presents until I've moved house.
Murie: Thanks for the heads up regarding the crates and Argos deals.
TreasureQueen: Good job on getting some intel regarding Boots
Ellie: I had laser eye surgery four years ago and it's the best thing I've ever done.
Peppa Pleased to hear chemo went ahead successfully0 -
Just been on the Lisa Angel website and they have over 700 items on sale (limited time) from £1 upwards: jewellery, scarves, homeware etc.0

Thanks for the well wishes - feeling much better today surprisingly but I did come home from the school run yesterday, did my daily visit to my mother in law who has thrown her back out, came home, managed to tidy the living room and make my daughters bed, wrote my message on here, took two painkillers and fell asleep on the sofa - I woke up at 2.55 and had to run to get my daughter......
I have left off the cleaning today though although I have been out and brought some of those shelf makers for kitchen cupboards ahead of the kitchen cleaning that I am planning to start tomorrow.
ellieW - labyrinthitis is horrid - I wouldn't wish it on anyone - I have had it since 2013 and it still appears every now and then to bite me on the butt and remind me its there. Anxiety and stress dont help it though. Good luck with your eye surgery too - my friend had it on both eyes and she said it was the best thing she has ever done.
Treasure - those mugs sound like my auntie and my mum (they are twins) Im just not too sure who would get which mug!
murie - I like the idea of those crates - I was thinking about doing a twist on a sweet hamper for my mum - and putting a crate with milkbottles but have them filled with different sweets she liked - prawns, coconut mushrooms, aniseed balls, palma violets etc I will have a look when Im next in town.
Peppa - Im glad your chemo went well. Do you have injections for white blood cells too? My nan has non hodgkins lymphoma and she hated being confined to the house after chemo :-(
free - I find calms only really work for me if I am at home, hot bath, hot milk and then going to bed, they help me to chill and unwind.....I just try to keep busy or sit and breathe through it in the day. I was put on propanalol and timazipan at 15 when I had them to begin with - I took two timazipan before bed and my mum made me sleep in her bed to keep an eye on me - I went to bed at 8.30 and woke up at 2.15 the next afternoon. She said at one point she had a mirror under my nose to make sure I was breathing. I didnt take them again! :rotfl:
Anyway plan for tonight is to sit and rest......I stupidly decided to do a 2 mile walk in sandals to pick up a new motorbike chain for my hubby.....my feet are now killing me and the kids are finding it highly amusing that I'm needing to waddle to get from A to B......so resting is the order of tonight and I am going to re check my CV.
Work have decided to start changing my rota again and have put me in on weekends despite me telling them I struggle with childcare. Im hoping its just a case of this weekend is the obligatory one I need to do but I get a feeling it wont be. If I hadnt on a whim checked the rota online today I wouldn't of known I was even in. I need to find something with set shifts.
Right off to look
Have a good even all
