Oh vulpix I am really sorry to hear that. My husband experienced something similar a few years ago with an old school friend, he was quite upset and definitely out of sorts as it played on his mind a lot. Sending you big hugs. I hope your DH’s mum is ok. xx
04624181 Thanks for letting me know about Butlins, I am really looking forward to it now! I hope you’re all feeling better.
mrsinvisible don’t worry I’m sure the fresh fruit cancelled out the buttons and garlic bread! That’s what I’d tell myself anyway…
Allthatglitters I love doing hampers too! You’ll have to let us know what hampers you decide to do.
freespirit I hope now that you have a diagnosis things will improve for you now. I know you have a lot of tablets to take but just think of it as a means to an end! It’s good that you got on with DS’s OH and that he’s happy, long may it continue! I hope that your DS or DD can stay at home when you have the inspection.
msgigglewick oh how horrible for your DD. I don’t like it when health professionals have little empathy. I hope everything goes better for her next time.
Peppapig I’ve been under the blankets too! It’s quite sunny here at the moment but not that warm! The chair looks wonderful so far, can’t wait to see it finished!
Pinksteps I’m really sorry to hear about your second cousin, how sad. Sending you lots of big hugs. I’m always telling myself to get more out of life whilst I can, it’s easy to forget sometimes and get sucked into the humdrum of daily life!
newthrift I’ve got to do more decluttering too before I move again, I’ll do it if you do it!
murie great bargain!0 -
PINKSTEPS :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: on one of the Cath Kidston FB groups that I'm on someone had knocked a CK cup off the table and the woman who's cup it was said she was really tempted to drop the child she was holding and save the cup lol!
Not just me then, but oh my a Cath Kidston Facebook group, I need to find this0 -

Princesskitty - Somebody in work today was genuinely shocked when he asked me how many days it was until christmas and I was able to answer him straight away without having to check beforehand http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/laughing-smiley-014.gif.
Peppa - lovely job you've done with that chair. I think a flowery fabric would look very pretty, something similar to the wallpaper you have in the background maybe? I'm thinking a Cath Kidston style pattern, but obviously not something as expensive as CK. But then I bet you'll come across a fabric and whatever you choose will look amazing so make sure you share a photo with us when you finish it. I still need to put up some photos of our little project on our garden seating, I will try and remember to do that later this week.
Free - you seem to be having a rough time again, I hope you're feeling ok. I'm glad you have a supportive family around to help and as an added bonus you have some of the lovely people on here who have some experience of your conditions so can offer help.
I think I might take part in this month's craft activity. I'm going to have a think about it tonight and see what I can come up with.
We went out for a family meal last night. It was lovely but the place we went to was so expensive. When we were on our way home I told me OH we will not be going back to that place any time soon. The food was very lovely but for the amount we paid I think it should have been more than just lovely. So although I enjoyed it, I did feel a bit disappointed when we left.
I have received a parcel from Halfcost after placing my order last week but I think they have only sent part of the order, as the box is quite small for what I have ordered. I haven't had chance to open it yet and check so I will have a look tonight and get in contact with them if there is anything missing.
I've got to dig out some Next return stickers as well. A few weeks ago I ordered a load of clothes that I liked the look of but then when they came some of them didn't look as nice as the picture and some of them I just decided I didn't really want, so I returned them a few weeks ago but I have just checked my Next account and only 2 of the items have been refunded, so I need to dig out the tracking numbers and contact Next to get the rest of the stuff refunded. If the courier has lost the parcels (3 in total) then that's really not my problem!0 -
ty all for the thoughts and comments... finally got her to book an appointment to try again for the bloods tomorrow morning. had to change the results appointment but only by a few days... i really hope its the last time she needs to go through it.. its horrid seeing the fear and panic in your childs face even when they are nearly 20.
Forgot i had been on a spending spree last week.. keep getting parcels delivered lol just opened todays post and it was some very cute alice in wonderland figures to put on dd1's bday cake (october) a jelly bean large yankee candle (groupon for £8ish with postage) and lots of crafting products so i can spend a few weeks making my christmas stock for my lil fb/ebay shop again.. really looking forward to getting that started but hard with the girls on holidays.
Love this time of year with lots of parcels lolTotally debt free wohooo 2014

dd1 is having some tests done - shes not too good but its not stopping her working ... they are now looking at lupus/celiac/thyroid amongest loads of other things. only trouble is she went to have the blood tests done last week and no blood came out :S they tried 3 times and nothing... so sent her to the hospital who scared her something cronic (she suffers with anxiety and has a needle phobia, the nurse was a bit of a battleaxe and dropped the needle making jess jump because it stabbed her arm then had the cheek to have a go at jess for it)so we are waiting for the massive bruises on her arm to go down before they can attempt to get blood again for the 10 tubes of tests that need to be done lol

Gigglewick - I hope your daughter is ok. What a horrible experience she had, hopefully when she goes back she will have a better time. I remember when I was pregnant with DD2 I had an appointment but they were running late, but I was told not to eat or drink beforehand. My appointment was at 12pm so I had breakfast but didn't have lunch because I thought I would be out of there quickly and would be able to go for lunch afterwards, but because they were running late I didn't get seen until 2pm, then the nurse was trying to take bloods but couldn't find my vein, so she was poking & prodding for so long that I fainted. I woke up on a bed in another room. I find it amusing now but at the time it wasn't funny at all. My OH was fuming obviously as I was 6 months pregnant, wasn't allowed to eat until after the appointment which then ran 2 hours late and then the incompetent nurse made me faint! I was really paranoid about having any bloods taken for a really long time afterwards. I remember a few weeks later when they wanted to take some again and I insisted on being taken to a room with a bed just in case the same thing happened.
Anyway, I'm waffling on. I hope she gets an answer to her health problems soon and they can start working on getting her better. Big hugs xx0 -

Other than that nothing much in life has been happening.
shall read back now but hugs for those who need them and Mincepies for everyone!:xmastree::xmastree::xmastree:
I have the same problem when I have blood tests, I was told that the pressure in my arm isn't good and I know need to have a blood test using a butterfly clip. maybe ask for that next time, and the bruising isn't that bad with the butterfly.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
MRSG I'm probably stating the obvious but make sure she drinks plenty before going as hydrated veins are easier to get blood from. Hopefully you'll get a really lovely person next time and she'll feel better about it. My BIL always has to lay down to have blood taken cos he worries he might pass out! Mind you he's quite heavy so he'd do someone an injury if he did lol.
Thank you all for the nice comments about the chair. DH is going to cut me out another 'seat' so I can have one covered and padded for all year round and one flat and painted with Christmas words/pic and I can just change them over. Obviously I'll have to choose something to do with jingle bells for the challenge. I'm thinking maybe wording like 'sleigh bells ring....' With a pic. Getting quite excited actually.
Ha ha MONEYMISSION, love that you knew the exact days til Christmas!
PINKSTEPS there are a few CK groups and some for stuff inspired by CK but not actually CK. They're mainly buying and selling groups but great for inspiration too if not for the finances!!
PRINCESSKITTY 20 Fridays makes it seem even closer and I'm behind on my pressie stash arghh. Must get on with it but getting a bit bogged down in birthdays. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Evening everyone, i have been playing around with making a bullet journal today (pinterests fault) it was quite relaxing and i cant wait to do some more to it tomorrow. Has anyone on here got one?
PINKSTEPS oh yes i knew he had gone to live at your mums i was just wondering if all was still well with him, i did laugh this morning when i saw your posts about Teddy taking 2 hrs to be trimmed, he is such a handsome dog
MURIE oh that will be a bonus their rooms are absolutely disgusting and all they say is well they are too small (which is kind of true) when i moan. But DD2 is such a hoarder i can hardly get to her bed now, i know its her depression but im sure she would feel better if it was decluttered. I was going to tackle it when she goes on holiday in september but i would hate to get rid of something she really wanted to keep so thought i better keep my nose out
PRINCESSKITTY how is your new home coming along have you got a moving in date yet?
VULPIX i am so sorry i meant to mention this when you posted, but it will take time to get over something like this, my sisters FIL did the same about 7 years ago, he had lost his wife the year before but seemed ok, he was making new friends and seeing the grandchildren a lot then out of the blue he jumped from a railway bridge, it was such a shock, he was the nicest man you could meet, my kids adored him. For ages i kept feeling could i have done something to help.
MONEYMISSION yes i am fine my lovely thankyou i just panic, gush it all out on here and then think about itand realise it isnt so bad. Isnt it horrid when you dont feel as if you got value for money? Oh i hate having to return parcels, i always worry they will get lost and i wont get my money back, i hope you get it sorted out quickly
MSGIGGLEWICK i hope it goes well for DD tomorrow
