Wow peppa that chair is fantastic! Put some jingle bells on it and that is your craft done LOL!! No seriously it is lovely, you are very talented.
Murie- actually laughed out loud at your comment about the bag being easier to hide than the oven.
Dom ravioli- thanks for the info on pedi rollers, I am still on the old ped egg an keep saying I will treat myself to the newer version.

We have just been treated to tea out at frankie and bennys by the hubby. We had such a laugh playing cards at the table. Then hubby bought DS a new mountain bike as he has not had a bike for years. He has been borrowing his friends bike and absolutely loves it. So now I have to find space to store an adults mountain bike under my stairs before he picks it up tomorrow afternoon.

Peppa- no silly- its wrapped already!!

04624181 Sounds as if you have had a lovely afternoon out. That's the problem with bikes (and pizza ovens!), they take up a lot of space!

0462 you could have something there, I could make it into a Christmas chair and bring it downstairs each year. Maybe I could have two seats for it, one jingle bells-ish for Christmas and one for the rest of the year when it's used to put our clothes on at night in the bedroom. Right off to look for something Christmassy to put on it!

Hi, I've been rummaging through my many craft drawers looking for something I can use for the bells challenge and hey presto I found the perfect thing - Christmas material with bells printed on it. I'm going to quilt it and make one or two placemats to sit on small occasional tables.

I have a long list of sewing (repairs and sewing orders) to be done so I am going to become a recluse for the next 10 days to have it all finished. A week on Monday I am having a combi boiler installed. At the moment I have a back boiler with hot water tank sited in fitted wardrobes in my bedroom so the whole house will be chaotic. Work will be done in sitting room, my bedroom, upstairs hall, downstairs hall and under stair cupboard. As you can imagine I am dreading it all but I was without heating for weeks last winter as the back boiler kept breaking down and it was difficult getting parts. At least it'll all be over for this winter.

Newthrift - the first time I picked up p*** I actually thought I was going to be sick. But I got over this by taking a deep breath before I bent down to pick up :rotfl:

Peppapig - your chair is lovely, a little cushion with bells on it would kill two birds with one stone :T

I'm off to check that I've not missed anything on my list xx

Evening everyone, just as i had destressed i get a letter this morning that i need to have an Electrical Safety Inspection and they need to get to every room in the house (so DS and DD1 can bl**dy well tidy their pits) aargh you know how i feel about tradesmen in the house and i know they will pull apart all what exH put in, i have told DD1 and DS one of them will have to have the day off because i wont be able to cope for at least 2 hours on my own :rotfl:

VULPIX aww thankyou my lovely, why didnt your craft group show any enthusiasm for your craft? I would have been gutted. We will all love it anyway cos that is how we roll !!!

PINKSTEPS yes i was googling last night and i kept reading about pernicious anaemia and thought of you and DS, thing is i cant remember if he said they would give me some folic acid or i had to get my own, brain fog!!!
Im so sorry to hear about your cousin, it does make you stand back and take stock when you hear of sudden deaths like that it really makes you think about life. How is DS2 now, is he doing ok?

MURIE thankyou lovely lady!! Oh how annoying about the bag, have just read you got one anyway cheaper, well done, DD will love it. Whenever i am trying to hide a parcel from the kids you can guarantee it always arrives on a saturday or on the day they are off work :o I second the Scholl pedi i have that one

PEPPAPIG thankyou for saying that my lovely, that chair is gorgeous i love the colours and cant wait to see what material you choose for the seat.

NEWTHRIFT thankyou honey, good luck with the decluttering the next couple of days

04624181 thankyou my lovely, and thankyou for that link i have read it and it was very informative, i think mine will be more stress related as that is what used to set my IBS off badly. Glad you are feeling better ooh i havent been to F&B for years, i love their food

  • Oh Peppa I got some bits from Cath Kidston outlet today too. Only stocking fillers but nice little extras. Youngest DS goes through earphones like anything so I usually get him a decent pair and some pound shop ones, Cath K had a pencil case in the shape of a car, so I'll fill it with the cheap earphones and pop it in his stocking.

And Free I have a confession about middle DS, well we got him out the situation which was my main plan and home safe with us, but our Teddy didn't get on with him so he's had to go. DS that is!! Yes, I chose the dog over my middle son :rotfl:
Don't worry, he has only moved around the corner with his nan. He's doing little jobs for his keep until he can find a place of his own. His work colleagues were a tad awful saying they could not believe I chose the dog but it wasn't quite like that. So it's back to being younger DS and myself and Teddy of course.
Dog p**p isn't a favourite job of mine but after a while it's doable, not sure I'd feel the same if I had a large dog. I'm dreading the morning, I need to give Teddy a haircut again and it usually takes a good two hours, I will think of the jingle bell project, I have one idea but need to check my wool stash

I'd recommend the scholl diamond pedi with the hard rollers - they are super abrasive! Never tried the emjoi one, but you can pick up the scholl one on the high street for £30 with the refills. I have Sjogrens, where my skin is permanently dry and that's the only thing that works for me.

I second that , I have had both and the Scholl one is far better.

Peppa- that's a good idea! A Christmas chair! You will be getting orders fast and furious for that if you marketed it! (Would fund regular trips to Cath Kidston outlet lol!)

Plumduff- the upheaval will be worth it if you have a warm, cosy and stress free winter x

Free- think of it as an excuse to get the 'pits' sorted rather than a stranger on the house.

Pinksetp- I laughed about your DS and Teddy. I know he's been through a lot recently so I did feel a bit guilty for chuckling, but I get it.My DS says he knows that he comes after the dog in the pecking order in our house .One sunday lunchtime DS was pouring gravy onto his meal and DH told him off and said 'that's the dogs gravy- don't have too much!'. Little visits and often and Teddy might start to take to him , but at least you know he is Ok with his nan x

Thank you for the info about the scholl pedi- I brought one of those instead for him as you all gave it such positive reviews.

Hope everyone has a good day x
