Hi all, We started the school shop yesterday. They both have school socks LoL! DS has shirts, he wasn’t keen on the pants so will have a look at m&S. DD got 2 pinafores, I have already bought her polo shirts so really she just needs shoes now. Ordered them a lunchbag each, ordered DS his pens
(he is a leftie so likes some quick dry pens for lefties) he needs some more things yet and he needs a school bag. It is like pulling teeth!
Mrsinvisible- I completely agree with you that uniforms are good except when they are trying to rip you off. For example- my DD PE kit costs me about £7 as it is a plain white tshirt and some coloured shorts. Mys sons PE kit will cost me £45 as he needs a specialist embroidered logo pair of shorts and tshirt!
ChrissyG-Thanks for the Yankee tart heads up, may try and nip early tomorrow after physio.
All that Glitter-Hamoers are always a welcome gift in my house, I would love a hamper with all my favourite goodies in.
Free- I think you are amazing to keep moving forward and attend 2 appointments back to back, you have achieved so much in the last 12 months and should be so proud of yourself. You have a heart of a lion. https://www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk/ you may already know of this organisation anyway but we found them very informative when my husband was first diagnosed. Diet is not proven to cause the condition but diet can help manage it when you are in flare, like what to avoid to but your gut under less pressure. It is your immune system attacking your own body. Stress is a HUGE factor in flaring the condition, hubbys last flare was because he was desperate to be promoted/get a new job as he was unhappy at work. I am feeling much better and seem to have lost a couple of lbs so not complaining LOL thank you for asking xx
Domravioli-welcome back x
Msgigglewick-welcome back, fab deal with the iphone, im debating an iphone for my soon to be 14yr old DS. Although he is now pushing for us to get him a bike. Hope your DD is ok after her ordeal with the nurse that is seriously lacking any care skills.
Peppapig-I thought I was bad with 14 tablets a day but that is painkillers included! Ooh ordering Christmas decorations sounds fab. I have seen an advent calender for DD that has play doh in, may order her that today.
Vulpix-sorry to hear your idea was not met with a more positive reaction. Im sure you will find a great idea to do. Sorry to hear about Mrvs mum, hope she is ok
Pinksteps=so sorry to hear about your cousin, life is too short an we should cherish every day. My sympathies to you and your family.
Murie-isnt it annoying when they raise the price up when you are just getting the funds together to purchase it. Its happened to me twice now. You are right, just wait and it will come down in price again.
Fiesty- thinking and praying for you and your family xx
Babyboo- Hope you ok xx0 -
Murie- Fantastic news about the bargain.
Newthrift- I need to crack on with my christmas craft too! decluttering is underway in my household too but currently slow progress due to the kids being off. Trying to inbetween days out and utter chaos.0 -

Peppa- Martha Stewart eat your heart out! You have a real talent there!
I cant believe I have had a dispatch email for the bag- just hope it doesn't come when she is home. One thing I AM sure of is that it isn't anywhere near the size of the blooming pizza oven so I will be able to hide it easily!lovin' this site!

Quick question- has anyone had any experience of the Mens Micro pedi by Emjoi? I am thinking of one for DH for his birthday as he is a diabetic and has issues with dry skin on his feet. DD has the nails inc one but I would think that maybe the mens one is more abrasive- anyone know?lovin' this site!

DOMRAVIOLI aww bless her! The consultant said to me it wasnt diet related its your bodies immune system attacking bacteria that it thinks is bad but it actually isnt ?? He still thinks my stress levels are to blame and i think he could be right because i had really bad pain this morning and it disappeared once i was at the hospital???
It isn't caused by food, but certain foods can contribute to a flare. My sister can't have anything with paprika in it - absolutely kills her, whereas I know people who are fine with it. Its all about learning what works and what doesnt.0 -

I'd recommend the scholl diamond pedi with the hard rollers - they are super abrasive! Never tried the emjoi one, but you can pick up the scholl one on the high street for £30 with the refills. I have Sjogrens, where my skin is permanently dry and that's the only thing that works for me.0 -
Thank you Dom Ravioli- will have at look at one of those instead.lovin' this site!
