* It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year * - It's the 2016 Christmas Chatter Thread

I've been following this thread for quite some time and very much enjoying it, as I am a bit of a Christmas nut. (adding to the excitement of the season, my birthday is the week before Christmas, so it's always been a very special time of year.) I am particularly excited about this year though, as, for the first time since 2006, I've actually got the Christmas holiday period off, (rather than just Christmas day and Boxing day) because by brother is getting married close to Christmas, so it's going to be doubly exciting and special. Yesterday, I also managed to start my present shopping, as I found some lovely Christmas scented votive candles in The White Company sale which I will repackage nicely, as the box is rather bashed, and give to my mum. That purchase has now triggered the list of presents brought and to buy on my phone, which helps me keep track of where I am.0

Free- sounds like a perfect day! I have finished my project too (if I decide to go with that one lol!). Problem is now that I have finished it I want to do something else -so I can see I can potentially be doing a craft every other day lol. This one was something that I have never tried before so Im not 100% happy with it but its done.
Peppa- we have nans in our family too.
Welcome creative gal! Its exciting once the present buying starts isn't it?
I have had my fruit soaking for a week now so I may make my Christmas cakes today- I LURVE the smell of Christmas cakes baking!
Hope everyone has a lovely day- looks like summer is back for a while xlovin' this site!

congratulations, Murie-nan , glad both are ok, well done on the jingled bell front too.
Oy, swotty free, ok, I'm gonna copy your homework!! seriously, well done you.
Come on in Creative girl, we are glad to have another Christmas nut on board.
DGSs football boats/boots arrived yesterday, thankfully they fitted, as 13 is the biggest l could find. They were reduced to £26 thanks to the sale and a 30% code, and are leather so should be ok. Next month it will be trainers, but we have a New Balance factory nearby, and one of my friends works there, so ....
Now while l am waiting to skype the nibs do l 1)iron 2) dust 3) jingle my bells? no contest eh? coffeeeeeeeeee xx0 -
Sorry Guys, been feeling a bit rough so have been in bed. Didnt stop me from ordering some christmas gift bits though lol. Got some more bits from halfcost, although still did not receive the planter houses even though they still state they are in stock online! Made 2 wish lists for the kids on amazon and keep dropping appropriate bits in it. Have ordered these for a fun gift for the kids.

I always do us a couple of family gifts that are about us spending family time together. Whether it be a board game, a day out or an eating out voucher. The family gifts are always about us having fun and spending time together so may pop them in the family box for us all to play x hubby and kids gone to church so I am sat in bed in silence.... ( on the laptop of course)

Wow FREE and MURIE, I haven't even thought of what to do yet and you're both finished! I'm getting bits out of the way that I'm committed to like my up cycled chair, DHD's Shopkins shop, my upcycled bookcase/shelf combo that I'm hoping to make look like a dresser and a Spiderman PE bag for DGS! As soon as they're done I shall be on the case in earnest! I have at least got til October now for the Shopkins shop so that's been put to one side.
0462 I really feel for you and hope you're soon on the mend. At least DD has perked up now so hopefully you won't be far behind.
Welcome to posting CREATIVE GAL, sounds like it's going to be full on for you this year - fabulous! Are you going to join us in the Christmas craft challenge? With a name like yours it's going to be hard not to.:D
Well done on the football boots MRSINVISIBLE and good luck with the trainers.
Very productive day today, got lots of little jobs finished, had lunch in the garden and an hour on the bed!
I've sort of given up on Instagram so will just have to practice putting my pics on here. I find what with this thread (fave obviously), Facebook and eBay I just don't have time for any more or I don't spend any time in the real world!
Just realised how dirty my windows are - only drawback to the lovely sunshine is that it really shows up all the dirt, dust and finger marks. Oh well, job for tomorrow I'm done for today.
Happy Sunday everyone, hope the summer weather continues! :TIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
I haven’t been on here for a while so I am just catching up on the last couple of pages.
Welcome to the newbies you will enjoy this thread we are all Christmas nuts. None of us will criticise on how early it is to buy presents. Today I was called a weirdo for getting my Christmas presents and cards this early. Welcome back KAYA.
MrsRyan you must be so chuffed that you have nearly finished your Christmas shopping, you’re a woman on a mission:rotfl:
When I managed to get to my local asda they were reducing the gardening bits down to 75% off. But I didn’t see anything worth getting. PeppaPig I know the lamp you mean I saw it at full price. What a bargain.
Murie the pizza oven is a great gift idea you will be sick of the sight of it from now to Christmas. That’s was a steal at that price, did you get cashback with groupon? I didn’t realise that groupon was included in cashback sites.
Mandco the puppy is so adorable.
Peppapig im glad the chemo is going well for you. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that everything turns out ok for you.
04624181- the nail polish crackers look like a great idea they work out at 83p ish each, which is a bargain.
Plumduff: the jumpers look great you are very talented; I wish I could do something like that.
Congratulations mandco. on becoming a nan.
I love the idea of the craft challenge, Pinterest here I come!
To the fibro sufferers from a fellow sufferer I can’t take pain meds so I have done my own research into treatments etc. I have found that a Himalayan salt bath helps ease the pain and helps me sleep if I have it in the evening. It also good in a foot bath you can get it in boots and have seen it in TKmaxx or buy in bulk from westlab. Also hot massage oil used on legs with ginger in is good to help ease the pain. Turmeric is also supposed to be good for joint and muscle pain. I have also found that I have restless legs and a cup of cinnamon tea before bed helps.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -

Hi, don't know if this is going to work. I'm following instructions to join photo bucket and post photos. Here goes if it doesn't work I'll delete it and try again xx
Edited to say I'm amazed that it works, there should be 3 photos of snowmen jumpers xx
Your snowmen jumpers are beautiful.
You need to addat the end for them to post properly in the forum. Or you could simply follow my instructions above for using tinypic.
Photobucket has changed slightly since I posted the original Elite 11+ Photobucket instructions that Freespirit has kindly been re-posting for the benefit of all. There is no longer a suitable "share this photo" link that you can simply cut and paste from Photobucket for forums as the IMG codes have been removed. You now need to add your own IMG codes that I mention above. Or click on the image / button of a mountain at the top of your post when you are typing it before posting and add the photo link from Photobucket that way.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
