Hi everyone, can't remember who it was but thanks to the person for info re DVD wallet - I bought one today in the pound shop for unbelievably ONE POUND ๐๐๐, great buy.
I am a very crafty person - sewing/knitting crafty that is !!!
I have recently starting making Memory Quilts made with outgrown baby clothes. I have just finished my first Christmas Memory Stocking and I can't believe how great it is. It's very easy to make and anyone with a sewing machine, who can sew in a straight line could make one. Can anyone tell me how to post a photo - I'm hopeless with computer technology.
Princess Kitty, if you're looking for a DVD player check out T**co outlet shop on e **y. The one I bought was selling for ยฃ129.99 on A***on and I got it for ยฃ54 inc postage. There are cheaper ones but this one had a 5 hour battery. It also has a 12 month guarantee..
Back to the knitting now xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Newthrift- I love the trafford centre and like to do a christmas shopping evening there every year. Usually disney shop and last minute stocking fillers.
Free- just start with a small amount first an increase it if you feel ok. We are unsure whether it was friends of theirs or actual caterers.
peppa- I hate being sick/feeling dizzy, not been so bad with the kiddies this time but usually I am a sympathetic vomitter. it was a mixture of sandwiches and hot food. The kids have been resting today and have both managed a very small bland tea. No more vomitting.
murie-it was scary, he was adamant he was late and that I had told him to find a top.
plumduff55- glad you managed to find a dvd wallet.
So do you think the craft challenge should be one a month?
Maybe set a theme each month like a christmas tree. a robin, a snowman. I could set the challenge on the first of the month, we could make whatever form of craft we want as long as it matches the theme set for the month? Then we all share pics of our craft on the last day of the month( or 23rd in december)
OR
We all do the same craft each month but that would mean we all purchase it from the same place or get all the same craft products.
Let me know what you would prefer or If you have different ideas?
Glad you want to do it. Think it will be good xxx0 -
04624181 that sounds scary really hope your all on the mend now and feeling better soon
I'd love to take part in a craft group will give me a reason to make sure I get on more often too
pinksteps glad ds scan went well it pretty scary having one done the 1st time. So sad about that poor lady staff do deal with it very well though when it does happen.
Freespirit how's thumper doing? hope your doing ok too
peppapig hope everything's going ok
princesskitty wow wiggle is going to be 2 already its one of those I can't believe it moments time flies by so fast hope he has a great day
I haven't had a chance to catch up I've missed so much its going to take hours and if I try I'll probably end up not posting so I'l start again from here and hope everyone's been doing ok. Belated birthday wishes to any I've missed, welcome to the newbies & congrats/condolences where needed.
Lifes been pretty hectic with all the end of year stuff and after months of feeling exhausted and struggling with the simplest of things I was diagnosed with fibro which explains alot of the health problems I've had for a while now that my old gp kept fobbing off.
In far better news my sdd is due any day now so we will have a 1st xmas to celebrate again this yearand we have our own new addition a puppy who is totally crazy and takes up an amazing amount of time but oh so adorable.
On the xmas front most of my nieces/nephews are now done & I picked taz up a few bits from the argos 3 for 2 mostly lego. The older ones are leaning more towards cash/vouchers so need to sort out some crafty ideas to make those look more special.
Has anyone ever made peelable window stickers? trying to work out a way to do personalised xmas windows this year. I did buy window paints/pens last year but its so damp here the condensation kept making it run.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Evening everyone,
04624181/PEPPAPIG/MURIE i rang DD2 to ask her advice about using the aloe vera i had but i wanted to check seen as it has been open since beginning of feb and she said no they only recommend a couple of months so i have had to throw ยฃ20s worth down the drain  i will have to wait for her to get me a new one
PEPPAPIG i hope chemo goes well tomorrow and you have a fab night with DGD
MURIE i love the sound of the pizza oven my lot would love that, they could eat pizza every day if they could
04624181 ooh i love the sound of the theme and we all make whatever we want from whatever material, then the girls (like me) who cant sew, knit or crochet can join in too, it will be great seeing everyones different crafts and interpretations of the theme

Hi 04624181, I think that's a great idea for a craft challenge. I would prefer the first option being that everyone can choose their own craft to make the chosen Xmas item. Last year I knitted a snowman for my baby grandson and was surprised how popular it was. I am usually too busy making large items and never take the time to make toys. A challenge like this would take me out of my comfort zone.
Freespirit66, thanks for the link. I have saved it and shall have a go next week.
Tomorrow I am going to my eldest sons to housesit and dog walk till Monday. I'm not really a dog lover but he was desperate - I'm just not looking forward to picking up p** xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

mandco do not do that to me, that puppy is the cutest ever (if you've seen my dog, you'll understand why I said that). I shall show my DS in the morning, I seem to be the child here, he tells me the practicalities are we should not have another but I'm more "oh my god they are so cute"0

Mandco, that is the most adorable little thing ever.
I would love to join in the crafting.I like the idea of doing our own thing on a theme.
0462 Scary time with your son.Hope you are all on the mend now.x
Plumduff I would like to see your makes.I am also not very tech savvy and have to rely on my kids to help me.
Peppa 1/2 way already,fantastic.xx
Today I have done some cleaning and then 4 hours in the garden.I will pay for it tomorrow.I have moved about a ton of rubble from one side of the back garden to the other.I need to raise the level of the garden to make a base for the shed. Will order a ton of sand tomorrow and get cracking on Friday with some brick laying.
Newthrift my daughter went back to her tent after Madness to find it had been slashed from end to end.Nothing stolen so they chucked everything in the car and went home at 1am.So her tent is still there I'm afraid.Just think of the nice holidays you can have in Canada now.Where abouts is your brother heading for?
Murie your present ideas are great,I would love a pizza oven.Shame you missed out on my husband sending his 2000 plus single collection to local hospice shop.you would have been spoilt for choice.I used to lie in bed thinking that the weight of them in the loft could bring the ceiling down.We still have a similar number of CD's though.
Vxย :0 -
Mandco- what a beauty! It is amazing how much time they actually take up isn't it? What have you called him/her?
Plumduff- yup poopscooping is my least fave part of owning animals too.
Peppa- halfway mark already- it'll be October before you know it and you will be able to have all the cuddles you want x
I like the idea of individuals interpretation of a theme best too.
Free- Im hoping the pizza oven will be a success- I think it will.
Vulpix- blimey woman you are a regular Charlie Dimmock with all that gardening, make sure you don't over do it though . That's the irony of the turntable- we have a gazillion records in the loft that DH wont part with! He never plays them so they are no use but he wont let me sort a few to go with the turntable for DS! Men!
Pinksteps- Im like you I would fill the house with dogs galore if I had my way! Mind you our latest kitten addition is really keeping me on my toes- she is like a box of frogs!! (with the teeth of a great white shark!)lovin' this site!
