Flow did ask for meter readings last week but since my meter is inaccessible (only one person in the building has a key to the cupboard so you have to catch her at home) I only got it to them today, so I assume I'll get a bill soon from you guys. I'd have stayed but I was on the special MSE tariff last year, and my bill was about to jump up by £15, whereas flow offered the same amount I was paying before. I spoke to an e-on rep on the phone but they weren't able to continue with the price I had been paying.
Just sold another £6 on ebay: £203.48 / 310 (10.71 / day)
You're welcome lexbubbles. Glad to help.
Totally understand why you're leaving with the savings you can make. Sounds like you were on the MSE Collective Tariff. This was a one off standalone deal. As such, once it ran out, there wasn't an option to extend it. This will be what our advisor would've meant.
Now your new supplier has the readings, they'll send them to us via the third party I mentioned in my earlier post. Usually takes a couple of weeks. We'll raise our final bill based on these readings and refund any credit balance. As I said before, it'll be quicker if the Direct Debit is still live and we can send it straight back to your bank. Otherwise, we'll send a cheque.
Hope this is useful lexbubbles. You know where I am if you need any more information. Always happy to help.

There wont be anything to add for me today as no sites ready to cash out or any tips from work as day off but...........just been to the bank and put all my bits Ive been saving in a pot and transferred anything out of paypal .
Managed an overpayment of £56.19 on the mortgage which breaks the first hundred pound barrier. :j
Its not a major amount in the big scheme of things but if I can keep it up I think I could possibly be rid of the mortgage in 7 years rather than ten.
Thank you all for keeping me motivated!Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Congratulations to anyone making any money and hugs to anyone who could do with them:beer:
I was very touched by all the sweet comments people made about my long rant yesterday about my lovely friend giving me that money. Thank you so much, such support and understanding means more than you know:A
Any way, feeling better today:j. I tried to phone my friend last night to thank her but she hadn't arrived back home (300 miles trip from here to there:eek:) and, according to her husband, it was very foggy and icy in their neck of the woods. Spoke to her this morning though and all's well with our worlds, apart from us losing a very dear friend from the days when we three were all very close.
Am not including the £300 in this challenge but will save it carefully as a nice, reassuring cushion against any of life's unexpected and expensive nasties0 -
Hey, Aesop, this is a great, 914 posts gone and 10 days left to go:j. It's so easy now, unlike the first time you asked us to do it when we were desperately posting single sentences to get the post count up:rotfl:
No-go so far from Populus about my complaint although they did email me today but the explanation was pathetic so have emailed back! Since being on this thread I've become so much more confident in standing my ground;). A big thanks to all you example-setters like Shell78 (brilliant result, well done)who don't let the big boys beat us:T0 -

do you know so much on my mind, I completely forgot about the challenge I set the group.
well done everybody, nice to see so many posts and people posting all the positive stuff and not just about earning money.
I hope Populus come through for you0 -
Another £2 from selling a DVD. I was really struggling earlier in the month and now it seems like I'm popping into the post office every day.
Thank you to everyone who's posted here giving me suggestions of how to make a bit more money, especially those who talked about selling on Amazon and convinced me to give it a go. This might be the first month I actually make more money online than through overtime.Money made on etsy in April: £0
Money made on ebay in April: £00 -
Forgot to say, no money actually received today but a few bits in transit which I'll post later:)
Had a phone call last night offering me a week's work delivering Phone books:T. It's not for about 6 weeks yet but she was wanting to get some of the 'challenging' routes sorted so as not to be desperately searching at the last minute for mugs to do them;). Everybody wants to do the towns and big villages with proper streets and pavements but they always struggle to fill the isolated, muddy ones:rotfl:. I'll have just shy of 2000 books but that's not so bad as they're getting smaller and thinner year on year:j. Still the same amount of driving and walking to do though but I love walking and at least I'll be getting paid for it:). Should clear about £160 for a full 7 days work (and it really is full days) which includes a small extra allowance for difficulty and distance. Hardly a way of getting rich but I enjoy it in a strange kind of way although my feet certainly don't by the end:eek:
Soon after that it should be the Thomson Local mini directories so I'll be able to keep the wolf from the door a bit longer;)0 -
well done rawdinosaur. you know you can sell other stuff on amazon too. I know someone who won an iron and had just got a new one, they sold the one they won on amazon.
I went to my selling account yesterday to find that even though I had supplied all my details last time, they still want me to verify my account before I can sell. Bit of an issue for me, as passport in maiden name, I refuse to pay full fee to get it changed again, and I have paper bank statements in maiden name but other info is in married name :rotfl: I have a bank account in married name and maiden name as just easier with some stuff.
I realised I am close to withdrawing £10 on jackpot joy, went to check my details... my bank card expired 4 years ago! So can't do anything until I am ready to withdraw and then they will sort it all out for me.
That will teach me to get married! it is one big hassle with all the paperwork I am having to change!0 -
yay to yellow pages carbootcrazy. hope she sorts you out properly this time!
you sound so cheery about it!0 -
Kantankrus_Mare wrote: »Surfchik.......what seeds you been growing?
Ive been at my allotment today and rescued some strawberry plants off a redundant plot. Bit sad looking but they will thrive with a bit of TLC.
Lol - I actually meant seeds as in 'money making avenues', but since you ask Kantankrus Mare, I am in the process of trying to set up our veggie patch!! :rotfl:
Theres a lot to do with the bit of scrub thats at the bottom of our new(wish) garden, so it won't be fully set up this year, but I'm trying to get some seedlings ready for pots etc so that I can at least transplant them later when each bed becomes useable. Just basics at the moment - all the herbs, potatoes, onions and leeks. Easier and heavily used stuff.
I've done some sums re: shopping and aside from the obvious health benefits of growing your own stuff and knowing whats on/in it, there the fact that I can probably save us around £80-£120 per month if I grow our owns stuff. Family of four now and I'm pescatarian, so veg is a huge percentage of our shopping needs. Plus I want our girls to have a reason to get outside, dirty and interested in nature
Any tips you have are welcome!! I'm looking forward to getting the courgettes in again - so easy and prolific to grow - they make anyone feel like a successful gardener :rotfl:£10 a day 2017 - APR £60.12 / MAR £82.24 / FEB £142.82 / JAN £241.240
