It's to do with the current regulations for the PO, which have been updated and the staff have to check a whole list of what is not allowed and what is.

Also I found out that they randomly check parcels and if they don't fit the criteria they are destroyed !!

Do you mean they open them?. If so, that's really scary. Big Brother lives:eek:

Hope you feel better soon Lynne. You need a good nights sleep but if you are any thing like me.....the minute you lay down you start coughing and it keeps you awake all night.

I had pharyngitis just before Christmas and didnt sleep for a couple of nights with the tickly cough.

I read somewhere on the net.(in desperation) that if you lather your chest , back and feet....yes feet! in vicks you will sleep.

Amazingly it worked for me and sleep was resumed. :D

Not sure how or why it works but who cares.

Oooh...must give this a try...I never have a decent night sleep...may have to take out shares in Vicks if successful! :j

    Good morning All!
£5 received from Swagbucks - so my total is now £69.45.

Side note: Topcashback is offering me a bonus of £15.16 on my next qualifying referral, not sure if anyone would be thinking about signing up (and hasn't done so) but I would happily split that with someone who was.

    Happy Thursday! :)

Well, I agree in lots of ways, that's part of why I jump at the chance:T. I did it once in a town area and it was so easy by comparison with round here where there are long potholed tracks and lanes to outlying farms and clusters of 2 or 3 cottages. I fear for my old car's suspension sometimes:eek:. Opening and closing big farm gates, negotiating dogs, geese and goodness knows what else makes it an interesting experience but definitely not all that easy:rotfl:. What can I expect though if we choose to live out in the sticks;)?

I'm looking forward to it already:j

your posts always make make me smile carbootcrazy, always full of interesting info and insight.

Do you mean they open them?. If so, that's really scary. Big Brother lives:eek:

they xray them and will destroy them. I know someone who sent over £100 worth of nail varnishes abroad as a gift for someone. The PO didn't check what he was sending and when the items went through royal mail they xrayed and destroyed the parcel.

The poor sender was only notified they had been destroyed :(

guttted is not the word. This is why I stick with couriers for most items as can see what they will and will not accept.

I know myhermes just weigh parcels, they don't xray.

But my local PO are horrific! they never check what is in your parcel! I always have to say it is a single nail varnish please put on the special sticker! say with mobile phones that are being sent for repair. Have to make sure I tell them. otherwise it will get destroyed.

no one knows even the why vicks on the feet works - strange but true. especially good if you have a cough, stops you coughing during the night.

First post in this challenge is just to say that I've received 30p interest and 11p from Qmee. It's not much but it's a start! My target will mostly be made up of the income from my second job which I don't get paid from until the end of the month.

that's great well done. If you have a smartphone, there are apps you can install that don't take long daily to check/do, for extra income.

Also look at the free lotteries. worth signing up for as free and if you win even better! even though I am still waiting to win on freepostcodelottery :rotfl: been with him since he started lol
