Didn't get a chance to post yesterday as it was a very busy day but at least I was too busy to spend any money so that takes me to 4/21 NSDs. Today OH needed teabags and I needed some toiletries so a spendy day but under £10 so not too bad.

I got a calendar free from work today so that's my first free thing for this month. My sister is up for a flying visit this weekend so that will be my first social outing of the month. Not sure what we'll be up to but will try and make it as cheap as possible or free :)

NSD 6/6 for me. Had awful craving for KFC on the way home. Was very bored with my batch cooked lunch. I find the hardest part of all of this is the waiting for the next pay day. I seem to stare at my spreadsheets a lot in between. Time between payments (and progress) moves so sloooooowly. Note to self: figure out a way to distract myself quickly :).

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow (er, later). :)

    Hi All

Today looks like it will be a spend day as we have OH's DD and her partner coming over tomorrow. Think I might try to do a full shop to save some spend days next week. Also need to order and pay for blinds but don't count that as a spend day as it comes out of the renovation and decorating budget.

Bob we have a Staffie and 4 Chihuahua's. They can be a handful but they also entertain themselves a lot. When they all start to play and have a mad 5 minutes it's really great to see. I always call it the mad house as we also have chickens, a Cockatoo and VERY good neighbors :rotfl:

    Back later with an update.

Yet again I start with an apology an 18hour day wiped me out and was a case of eat and bed last night, so will aim to post daily but if not I won't feel bad but I do definitely read every post in fact it's my high point and willpower fix as soon as I get two mins in work :)

Calling- I am another Netflix fan I love the fact we can use it separately and on dif gadgets, Homeland is my guilty pleasure at the moment how I never watched it before I still can't fathom.
Has anyone else got any favs boxset wise for us to check out, I also finally got round to putting kindle app on my tablet it's amazing !!
Clippy girl- I actually laughed out load reading your post, I can so imagine our cocker spaniel running round in circles on our washing line, it could save a bomb instead of using the tumble.
Short-Bird- Thankyou for posting about the January cure it sounds fab.
Bobarella- Can I be dead nosey and ask what hubby bought instead of fixed, I feel the same too that my poor hubby is bombarded with numbers goals and targets thank goodness he doesn't complain bless him.
Welshkitty- I so love my soup maker too I bought it off ebay ages ago thinking it may be another gadget gathering dust but it is used at least weekly often more and lunches cost pennies.

My free items yesterday were a notebook and diary off my hubby, and DS won £5 in a raffle not my freebie but nice to keep track off things coming in monthly, yesterday wasn't a NSD but all in was less than £10 but sat thinking about it most of the £10 could have been avoided so finding the spending diary really useful and need to see what needs to stop the end of the month. Last working day of the week for me today, lunch to work all meals from stores for all of us today, and today will also be a NSD that will be 5 so far. And the sun has just come out :)

Staring at spreadsheets is what we do best:rotfl:Can't imagine what life would be like to be debt free? What would I waste hours doing then?

Very wet Thursday here again.:( Got washing everywhere and so want to wash bedding. Be so nice if we had a nice windy drying day.

Paid 100.00 off cc1 today so feeling good:beer:Never had spare cash ever in January years spent on here are not wasted I am learning to budget.

TOG – well done on your savings/earnings. No one likes to pay to park the car for work, especially not £5.

CCL – hope the Young Carers organisation can offer some support.

Catwoman – how did you make your pinto bean dip?

Calling – I like to watch starlings too, I love how they are making a racket like nothing on earth then every single one of the goes silent at the exact same time, then they are off swooping and soaring all in formation.

Rylee12 – I remember that stage well, you know they still need an afternoon nap but they know better, then if you go out in the car after 4pm they fall asleep – what to do – wake them up and have the grumpiest toddler ever or let them sleep and still have them bouncing off the walls at 9pm.

I did the Lidl shop yesterday so we are now stocked up. I don’t expect to be spending anything today, I am working, dog walking and exercising (was supposed to run but it is raining fairly heavily).

Please can I join you. I will be with you shortly but have had two very busy weeks and still need to get the laptop sorted or replaced.

Will catch up when I can. Probably broken a few rules as I have been running everywhere and been forced to buy food out a couple of times. On the good side I still have most of my Christmas food so that should be a low spend in January.

Grateful that my hyacinths are in bloom. Smell hits you at the bottom of the stairs.

Justforme....I loved Merlin boxed set, if you like that kind of drama/action/history, and quite humorous.
