  • Had a spend day today, though we didn't make it to asda as mum had a last minute Dr appt, but I decided to go to a different supermarket to buy pastry as I couldn't be bothered to make my own for leftover pie. A few reduced goodies may have fallen into my basket at the same time, ahem, but I'm definitely spending less than I usually do by trying to rack up nsd.

As stated yesterday today was a spend day as the dogs were all bathed and pampered.

Thanks to Dolly, Raphael and Clippy for your comments on your dog bathing routines. We usually bath our dogs at home ourselves but with 5 dogs to bath at once it does take rather a lot of time and tends to stress them out a little by the time we get to the clipping the claws stage. We decided to try a mobile grooming service and asked for a discount for 5 dogs and were given a third off the total cost.

All the dogs look and smell lovely and seemed to enjoy the exprience (even the screamer who didn't make a peep). The cost of the treatment is more than covered by the money we have been putting into savings since OH gave up smoking in November so I feel this is justified. We have booked another appointment in 3 months time although the groomer has offered to clip claws FOC in the interim :j

Nothing else was spent today so not a bad day as the appointment was booked a month ago.

    Evening all :)
Sadly I didn't manage another NSD, as I had forgotten about the dog's grooming appointment :o Didn't spend anything else though :)

Still, I got my something-for-nothing, I found 10p on the grass! Does that count? :rotfl:
  • Hi everyone.
Still a fairly quick check in from me, but early. I'm dead on my feet already and feel like something will have to give very soon indeed if I am to survive the rest of the term ahead.
I've bagged another nsd and been really far too busy to do anything like spend money or get organised. Tomorrow will be a spend day though - dh is being discharged from hospital officially and my Head has very generously allowed me to have the whole day off. It is also grocery shopping day so I figure as I'm getting groceries and paying for parking then I will also fill the car up with petrol. I will also keep an eye out for things I can womble, if it ever stops raining out there.

Had a run of spend days- spent lots on paint we need for decorating this year to take advantage of sale prices. Also some planned spending on clothes- part in sales and part charity shop. Was hoping for NSD today but needed milk and to post some paperwork. Found a couple of items in charity shop I'm going to try and sell for a small profit.
I've batch cooked some soup today- 11 lunches ready in freezer.

  • Today was a NSD :T.

I found a gift card that was quite old at the weekend and found out it had £15 on so got myself some skinny black jeans - this gift card was a birthday present a few years ago so won't count it as per 'the rules':rotfl: (I would normally have waited to use it but I wasn't sure when the 2 year non-use expiry date was)

I'm quite sad and see this as a good game - planning when my next spends are is my new hobby:D

So, that's a second NSD and I am about to make sandwiches to take to work tomorrow.
Having a surprisingly good time with rearranging the abode, there is space everywhere and am enjoying some music while I work :D

No way are you sad to do this! You are awesome! :D

Ccl - surprised they are discharging your dh so soon. Sending you lots of hugs x

Today I am grateful for a good walk at lunchtime, for gf food from a colleague, for having time to get a few admin-y jobs done, for time with dd, for roadkill.

    Hello folks.

Another NSD again for me today 6/6 :D

I did go to Sainsbobs with my sister and even though she has a Nectar card, she used mine and I clocked up an extra 62 points! My purse was firmly in my bag!:p
I really love going to her house as she always has a load of goodies that she gives me. A bar of Green and Blacks chocolate was stuffed into my bag as well as two individually wrapped 'posh' chocolate biscuits...the type you savour when you fancy a treat! She also gave me a pair of Ugg boots to carboot and a beautiful box that her duvet cover set came in. Great to use for a gift box

I got my credit score....need to sort that out a bit!

I actually realised at about 3pm that I hadn't eaten all day apart from a few Jaffa cakes! Tea was chilli and garlic bread at my friends so I still haven't had to buy food this week.:)

Looking forward to going out for a meal tomorrow for free!! More about that when I check in tomorrow.:p

Not a full discharge - just discharge from crisis care. We're being moved over to the community care team and his bed in the psych ward becomes available to another person. I registered the kids with the Young Carers group today, I'm worried about how it's affecting them.
