  • Hello all

Room for another little one?? Im busy doing a few cross stitched christmas cards for older relatives and am working on a cross stitched tablecloth for my nan for her christmas present....although I ordered it and its one of those kits with the design on the material in the horrid grey colour rather than just being plain material which I prefer.

I look forward to seeing how your all getting on soon and will post a picture soon once Im underway

    Hi Sammy-Kaye,

Always room for more stitchers! Good luck with the cards. I like the mouse loft ones as they don't take long at all. The only card I stitch now is for the cafe exchange - no one else seems to appreciate them which is a shame but hey ho.

I am getting on with Collecting Shells and have finished her dress (white stitches on off White aida #painful). Will post a pic shortly. I won't finish by my deadline of Saturday 10th which is my birthday. No matter - it will be done at some stage this year (hopefully). I have a piece at the framers which I will collect this week all being well. It's for a friends 50th next month.

Hope all are well. Post to let me know you're okay please :)

  • Coxy - my nan always appreciates a homemade gift/card that has taken time and effort, a few years back I did a tag, bookmark and a card fro her which she loved and I decorated a diary for her - so cheap and simple but had a heart felt meaning behind it so I think I will do something similar this year.....the tablecloth I am stitching fro her has daffodils on it - we are in Wales - so I think I will try and make the diary nice and bright for her. I think I might also do some cards for my friends as well as they are crafty and will appreciate the sentiment behind it and the fact it has taken time and effort to do.

I love the chart your doing too. I did find a future project yesterday but it is an american chart for a sugar skull design which my niece loves. I am seriously considering working solidly on the tablecloth this month and then buying the new chart at the end of this month with every intention for it to be finished and framed as her christmas present for her new room

Hi all, sorry I've been awol, been crocheting some cute dogs for a charity so not much stitching done.

Welcome Sammy_Kaye, I've never stitched a piece that was printed on the fabric, I look forward to your updates.

Coxy, that's a lovely project you're doing don't envy the white on white, black on black aida was bad enough.

I also sadly had our old dog pts last week, it breaks my heart everytime, I know they are in a better place but it still hurts :(

Oh nmm so sorry to hear about your dog xx Our old boy was 12 last week, cocker spaniel and mad as a box of frogs. He was clipped yesterday and is quite warty now - one on each ear got sliced open even though we told the groomer to look out for them :(

Should be picking up my framed piece tomorrow all being well. Will post an updated photo when I can.

I pm'd FoS a few weeks back - no response. Does anyone hear from her on other threads?

Picked up the hen sampler today. It's a 50th birthday pressie for my friend. Unfortunately all her chickens were killed by a fox two weeks ago....

    Morning!

No further stitching done over the last few days - it was my birthday on Saturday so we were out and I had masses of ironing to do on Sunday due to schools going back :(

I have however, managed to knit the body of a partridge for the church's 12 days of Christmas display (you may remember I also did the 12 drummers drumming which nearly finished me off!). It was interesting knitting in the heat yesterday..... Just the head and beak to do, then I will stuff it.

Hope everyone else is going well. Still undecided about ally pally. We are out on the Sunday so it will be Saturday or nothing and it gets sooooo busy.

    Have a good day
