Thanks, had a quick look , assume you have to be on the three network.

We have one phone on o2 and the other on Vodafone
yeah, you'd have to use the free PAYG sim instead of your normal simcard (therfore adopt a new phone number for whilst you're away). If you want to see if your phone is unlocked to allow you to do that, then just order a free sim and see, put it in your phone and see if it picks up the Three network :)

We usually put our 'everyday' sim in a spare phone in case anyone tries to get hold of us on that (however most people know we are away and don't bother :) ) and adopt the Three sim card for contacting each other / data. Predominantly most my friends use Whatsapp to message me so they still come through and they can't see i'm replying from another phone number anyway :)

    Yeah,,seen that on vegasbright yesterday.

We are there in May and September, was kinda hoping it might have happened when we were there....always wanted to watch an implosion in Vegas. When we first went we were in the Tropicana and they had an exhibition back then with memorabilia from all the past hotels, and a video constantly showing different hotels being imploded.....looks like I'll have to wait for Circus Circus to go.:p:p

I get it now, think i misunderstood how it worked.

Have ordered 2 free sims, i have a few older phones, hope i will find 2 that they work in.

And the charges quoted on their website are the charges for using at home or in Vegas (abroad) ?

Have a look at the "feel at home" link I posted on the previous page (basically when you're in America, it treats you as if you're still in the UK, so texts / calls to other uk numbers are treated as if you were still in the UK)

    You'll just need a 3G capable unlocked phone :)

If you don't want to use a different Sim card, then your only other option would be to see what O2 / Voda offer I think :)

In Vegas mine was sketchy. If you lose 3G, just go to settings and manually select AT&T.

Took me ages to figure that out!

Agree (for data)... When it roams on T-mobile in the states, it is awful!

I bought a t-mobile SIM whilst in Chicago 3 years ago (before feel at home, it was one of the cheapest alternatives) and one of the biggest problems was data speed back then - I'm surprised people use it over there as it's got no better! :)

Can you use the at home service straight away on a new PAYG sim? Did you not have to have had it for a month prior? Or am I imagining that?
