Couple of questions - and I'm sorry I know there has been a lot of posts about this recently - how many vouchers am I allowed to redeem for one trip? And also I am having no joy getting the lunch vouchers as they sell out every day what time do I need to set my alarm for ? Haha

you can buy as many certificates as you have gold coins for, but you can only use 3 of the MGM property ones within 30 days, unless you were one who bought chips back when that gave you 4 or 5 rewards.

I finally got the 2x Aria lunch buffet after this post and joining the facebook group and reading the threads there with refresh times...hubby wasn't so lucky when he tried, but we were pleased to have gotten one of them, at least...and we each had the $50 freeplay and 1 dinner buffet each.

I posted this on Facebook, but wanted to post it here too...for those who like to have a printed boarding pass and/or don't have a smart phone with wifi access (I get that this is not many people anymore, particularly with resort fees including wifi in the room and most casinos having free wifi on the floor)...TI has some PCs at the base of the escalator when coming down from the tram/self-park which allow complementary boarding pass printing. At least for Virgin, it allows you to access Virgin's website to check in and print boarding passes.

We haven't really bothered with printed boarding passes for awhile as they don't seem fussed if you don't have one when you go to bag drop, so it is not that exciting...but it might be useful.

Does anyone else use the tripit app ?

I;m putting a trip together at the moment for an ex Euro to Chicago (at £250 plus Ryanair placement flights it seemed rude not to) and it's really good the way you can just email them your confirmations (or add them manually)and it sorts it all and puts it into an itinerary . Planes, trains, hotels, shows etc can all be added (and changed) so might be handy for keeping track of those complicated trips to Vegas with lots of elements.

I'm not sure how much more useful the paid version would be - the free one works well though .

I use Award wallet for that.

As well as sorting your flights and sending you an email if there is a time or seat change you can also store all of your reward cards. You get an email every week that lets you know if there are any changes to them.

There is a paid version where you get more info and faster syncing, as well as a credit card with all of your reward schemes and their numbers, but it is a donation. I give them £5 every 6 months.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Some taxi advice.

We use Uber a lot at home so I decided to try it out a couple of days ago while I had a 7 hour layover in Vegas. I booked in at the Best Western Airport hotel and arrived too late for their shuttle.
So I fired up my Uber app, it told me I was at the airport and to request a cab. It would arrive in 10 minutes and I was to go to Terminal 3 first floor Valet pickup location to meet the car. (I could have chose T1 but I was at D gates and T3 is nearer). 10 minutes later he turned up and took me to my destination, easy, no cash to hand over (you register your CC with the app, and it even adds a 10% tip to all fares as well. you can set it to how much you want to add or nothing at all).

Worked a treat, there are lots of directions in T1 and T3 for "car share pickup".
So you don't need to get any cash out, tip is taken care of, cheaper than a normal cab (only by a bit) and of course you don't have to worry about being long hauled.

You can get a fare estimate before being picked up which we find is always quite accurate.

You get an emailed transaction receipt with the car journey on it, so if you think you've been taken for a ride, you contact support they look at the trip and if you are right they refund you.

I know this is a bit cheeky but if anyone wants a signing up code that gets you £10 off your first fare (I will get £10 a well), then DM me.

You only have to sign up once and it is good for every country that Uber operates in. We used it about 5 times in Florida a couple of months ago.
Also I use my PO CC because you will be charged in the local currency and of course there is no forex fee with the Post office.

You also need a data connection or WiFi because the whole system works off of the app. But of course McCarron has free WiFi and I am with 3 network which means I just use my normal data plan in the U.S. if I am away from WiFi.

Just returned, will do a trip report next week!
Just a quick one - we used Lyft which is a rival to Uber and used a code for $5 of 10 journeys ($50) total.
Was also our first ex-EU and no problem getting bags checked back to Gatwick even though we had a connecting flight back to Dublin.

I think it's a closed group so you have to join and then be accepted and then you can see them. :)

    Hi all,

Long term forum user ! We have trip no 10 coming up on the 5th June staying at Aria for two weeks! Has to be one of our favourites and they have upgraded our room which I bagged in the Black Friday sale to a corner suite can't wait!!!!

After playing my Vegas since it came out going to cash in my points , I want to redeem the two lunch vouchers at aria and the $50 free play!

Couple of questions - and I'm sorry I know there has been a lot of posts about this recently - how many vouchers am I allowed to redeem for one trip? And also I am having no joy getting the lunch vouchers as they sell out every day what time do I need to set my alarm for ? Haha

Also we have seen Mj Cirque but tickets were so expensive where is they best place to get them as like to see it again?

    :j

    Many thanks

    Annmarie

For the really popular rewards ie the 2 buffet passes, you will need to be very dedicated to refreshing! I believe its no longer an exact refresh time each day, its approx time so you also need to be lucky. Have your email address ready to just copy and paste because even if you get the chance to buy, by the the time you have typed your details it will be sold out and you will lose it. Fastest finger first!!

I am also looking to buy MJ tickets, I have only looked on Mlife and cheapest I can get is $178 for 2.
