Just returned, will do a trip report next week!
Just a quick one - we used Lyft which is a rival to Uber and used a code for $5 of 10 journeys ($50) total.
Was also our first ex-EU and no problem getting bags checked back to Gatwick even though we had a connecting flight back to Dublin.
Do you have a code to share ? I am toying with using Uber or Lyft from Chicago out to Aurora - train is a couple of hours on a Sunday versus 45 mins by car and as I'll have just got off Amtrak I'm thinking it'll be worth the extra. (Sadly neither yet operate in Michigan which is my other destination)
Which airline were you flying with ? I always get the impression VS aren't too bothered about not checking bags through but BA are bit more difficult.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Are you going soon? Make sure you don't enter code till you're there as they expire. It's best to search just before going as there are lots of offers and depending on how many times you want to use it. You could just redeem $50 off your first journey if it's an airport run but if you are doing lots of journeys then we opted for the $5 every ride for 10 rides code.
Not sure if I can post codes on this thread so best you just google or happy to PM code I used.

We flew Virgin - we had read of the issues with BA but glad to say no problem at LAS with Virgin.0 -
Thanks - not going til May I've got one longish trip from the centre of Chicago out to the east (Aurora) so the $50 offer off one ride might be a great deal as that one is around $50. Guess the smart thing to do is to play offers on both appsI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Wonder if anyone might know about this...
I've got some USD on my paypal account, not a lot just now $90 or so, but may have some more in there by the time we go out trip (it's for a little bit of work I've done, based in UK but paid in USD before anyone worries about that!!).
Someone said I need to convert it to GBP then withdraw it, otherwise it will sit there even when I spend GBP using paypal. I'm curious if I'll be able to spend it in USD, maybe buying groupons or similar, paying with paypal and perhaps it will just come off my balance in USD. Anyone happen to know?0 -
not sure if this would be of any interest, but posting it just in case. Deal for Cosmo with waived resort fees and 2x coffees a day. I haven't checked how the 'package' rates compare to their normal rates as sometimes these deals don't really work out like they seem they would, but it may be interesting for someone wanting to try Cosmo. Avoiding the resort fee cannot be a bad thing.
There are some other offers if you click through them in the upper right of the page, too.
