  • Baza52. Accuweather has had the past week at 16 to 18 and mostly sunny. This has been fine. Today is 12 and cloudy, and is coat weather. Nothing over the top, but definitely need that extra layer.

    hi
and we did the mob museum back in june and loved it !

Both my husband and I are pretty thorough, and spent over 2 hours on floors 3 and 2. By the last floor / floor 1, I had just had enough. It is a shame, but there was just a little too much information that IMO could have been organised better. My main negative point though, is that there should have been a great emphasis on the LV part of the Mob story.

Madame Tussauds, free myvegas today. Good for free, and takes about 1 hour. Had a big LV section, which makes perfect sense to me.

I have a trip booked for Feb and as yet haven't followed my own advice and done a 'banker' hotel booking.

I had thought I'd see some good deals over this weekend but most of the 'black friday/cyber monday' offers are worse than the offers you can find from the links in the first page of this thread.

Anyone found anything that looks remotely like a bargain?

Ideally need Paris (to satisfy the OH who hasn't stayed there but really wants to, and to please my Auntie who we're taking with us (and her best mate!) to surprise my sister.

In fact the whole trip is a never ending list of surprises - My sister is going from Canada with my 12 year old twin neices for a cheer competition, what they don't know is that their dad and 2 other sisters are going to arrive a day later to surprise them. The 2 other sisters don't know they're also going so that's a suprise for them. None of the girls know that OH and I are going over so that's a surprise to all 4, and now I'm taking my Auntie as a surprise to all 6 of them!!

I don't remember seeing this mentioned before - a friend who was in Vegas with us wanted to go, but calling a couple of weeks before the trip and they were booked long in advance. I have a reminder to call in Feb for our March trip as it sounds interesting.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • High Roller today, and absolutely loved it. If you are thinking about it, stop thinking and just go ahead and do it. Husband hates movement in big wheels, but the pods here glide perfectly smooth.

We are going to do this before we go home. Probably Thursday.

What time of day did you go and did you do the bar pod?

We have a travelzoo offer for the bar pod. Not sure how much we will drink in half an hour though.

damn too late! but their regular offer seems to be 1 free slice with a $25 gift card... seeing as we will ALWAYS go :D, this seems like a good deal anyway :)

edit - phew, this wouldn't have worked for us anyway as the voucher has to be redeemed by 31 March 2017 and we don't go until April :)

We did the Happy Half Hour back in September, had a great time, our bar tender Cheryl was brilliant and kept the drinks flowing, you would be surprised how much you can drink LOL, so much so that we totally missed Margaritaville on the way back to the MGM. We had booked the KA show that night and just had enough time to grab something to eat in the Food Court before the show. The Travelzoo deal means you have to be on the High Roller before 6pm I believe so we got there around 5.45, we had a great mix of fellow passengers and would recommend it to anyone.:j:beer:
  • Hi,

I was advised to download "MyVegas" app which has free games you can play to get points for when you are in Vegas. I am stopping at the Luxor and could probably work up a fair few points between now and March when I go.
    * Is this the same thing as the mylife card that I hear everyone mention?
    * Is it worth my getting my OH to download and play too for more points whilst we are out there?
    * Finally, and I don't know if anyone can help with this, if this is a good way to build points for when you are there does anyone know what I am meant to do with the 3 piles of purple chips that appear in the bottom left of the screen please? It completely blocks up the whole game and I have to crash out as soon as I go back in, it does that same. Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks
