Posted this on here a few days ago.

Our trip in September the drinks service was as usual....some places come round quickly...others...like the Venetian...we left after losing a fair bit without so much as one drink offered.

Bellagio was probably the best service this trip.

I agree with this. We stayed at the Venetian and the drinks service was dire.
I'm still waiting for the bottle of water that I asked for while I was playing Pompeii.
And re. The Wynn. It's a lovely hotel, gorgeous rooms, but the problem I have with it, is that it's noisy, especially on the weekends. When we stayed there in 2011, we were on the 34th floor and we could still hear the nightclub music below us. This time, we stayed at the Venetian and loved it (the $20 trick got us a suite room with a reduced resort fee rate & a view of the Strip, straight across from the Mirage Volcano ;) ) HTH

That was my next question! Luckily(?) I don't really play VP, just stuff on the casino floor.

You can see the next step though.....the machines on the casino floor call the waitress once you've coined in x hundred, stopping a waitress without a machine call = $$$

Will that happen? I dont know ,it is one thing doing it at the bar tops but on the casino floor it may !!!! to many people off.

I am losing my enjoyment of Vegas after going for 17 years, mainly due to the resort fees, the parking charges, and if they stop/limit the free drinks as well !!

I am in 2 minds wether to go again, if I can get a cheap flight, we may go next june for the last time, or maybe we have already done our last visit :(

    We are the same.

We love Vegas, and had many trips over the last 12 years...quite often 2 trips a year.
But as photome says,it's getting harder to love all the changes.
I'll still want to go,but if I feel it's becoming to expensive to justify, then I simply won't go.
It's not even the expense..it's the "extra" that never used to be there, that now is,that's the problem.....it's like " do you even want me to come back" ?

Next year is our 25th wedding anniversary,so the wife insists on a different trip....we are going to do New York and New Orleans....last few years it's only ever been 6-9 months at most without another Vegas trip to look forward to...I wonder how I'll feel knowing there isn't one coming anytime soon.:o

I can certainly understand your feelings in regards the resort fees and if the free drinks stop, well !!

But the problem i feel, IF the casino's do go ahead with this and they have pretty much the same numbers, maybe down a few 1000 i doubt they d care to much, for them to care i feel they d need to be a massive drop in numbers maybe 500,000 plus for them to take note..will this happen? prob not.

I wonder in regards the parking fee's, does anyone know how much that has effected vegas if at all in regard numbers dropping?

Thinking of a stay around New Years Eve, ideally about 4 nights, is this about right for a minimum stay or do some hotels require longer?
    Any thoughts appreciated.

Most places won't have a minimum stay.
