My Vegas - does anyone know if the 25% room rate reduction can be used to book several night, using just one reward?

It can but you are better off looking at any of the following (I have used them all at one time or another):

    Royal Caribbean Offer - http://www.mgmresorts.com/RoyalOffer2016/

    http://www.mycheapvegas.com/ - login/pw = guest/guest

    http://www.smartervegas.com/

I have just used up all my myVegas rewards for my trip in December and my savings (Mine + OH) total $1,200.
    Thank you all who post.

Worth checking the prices now, especially if it is a cancellable rate. We booked near the end of May for our November trip, and the price has never been lower that what we have paid. The rate is actually now several hundred pounds more than we paid.
  • if i book a week's hotel stay through my MLife account, is that going to give me anything (freeplay, credit, etc.) while I'm there. Or will it all be added up at the end of my stay and accessible for the next (!) visit?

iirc whenever anything is added to the bill it creates mlife points straight away. Hotel room rates are added daily to your bill so these point will also be added daily, not at the end when you check out.

I remember a few days into my first trip when I was collecting a myvegas buffet they said I was now at pearl and issued me a new card then a few days after that I went to the mlife desk to collect something else and they said I was now at gold and re-issued another card :-) I was so excited.

i've never used my MLife card properly when in Vegas. I've always booked hotels via expedia, etc. any way.

how often does MLife send out promotional emails? I'm not sure I'm getting them...!

    What should you do?

    - Should you/can you charge meals, etc. to your room when dining at MGM properties?
    - Or do you pay for meals normally and give them your MLife card when paying (like a supermarket loyalty card)?
    - of course present your card at tables, or stick them in the slot machines
    - any "service" in an MGM property (e.g. spa treatment? gift shops? franchise outlets like Starbucks?)

Mlife tend not to email offers - you need to log into your player account to see them.

Yes wave your card whenever parting with money and charge what you can back to the room and then go to player services the night before you leave and ask what you have earned to offset your bill.

Show tickets are the bigger spend items people often forget to show their player card for btw

This has already started at casino bars...hope it isn't going to be used for slot play as well.
Increasing resort fees, and now fewer "free" drinks :(

i assume you can charge pretty much any "in house" purchase (at an MGM property) to your room?

So then I gather you have to go to an MLife desk before you check out, and see if there's anything they can discount from your total bill?

We're not going to gamble loads, but adding food/drink might help? Even if it was $20 off your total bill after a week, every little helps for stuff you would be spending on anyway?!

Exactly, better in your pocket than theirs :)
Even if it removes the resort fee for the stay it's a win
