I love my birthdays in Vegas

we were there once for my husband's many years ago, but never mine...it's shortly before Christmas and the only way we could do it is to stay in Vegas for Christmas which we would be OK, but would miss being with the family...decision is that my 50th we're going to Vegas and anyone who wants to join us is welcome to celebrate Christmas there. Still a little more than 3 years to go, but already looking forward to it. My husband's 50th is about 10 weeks after mine, and we're already considering if we can go for his, too. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

That sounds like an amazing plan, and in my book, never too early to get excited about a trip to Vegas :D We went a couple of years ago for Hubby's birthday (28th December), and I would without a doubt go back to actually celebrate Christmas there too. Good luck in planning it Ferf, and fingers crossed you manage the two trips, even if it is 10 weeks between the two!

Can anyone recommended a limo company? I'm looking to book a Limo from LAS to Bellagio's and then use them on accasions whilst we are in Vegas. I know Uber and Lyft will be cheaper but I just fancy a bit of 'travelling in style' on occassions.

We used presidential limo, our driver gave us a card if we ever needed to reuse over our stay, I would recommend them, charges were the same as quoted on website, and when we had a delay on our return flight it was easy to rebook the timeslot.
  • Yesterday we went over to Desert Marketplace (huge TJ Maxx) and then Arroyo Crossing (various other shops). Back to the Platinum for an hour or two at the pool. In the evening we went to the Spice Market Buffet (Travelzoo voucher, $49 plus got a $10 discount so was only $39 for 2 including drinks which they were generous with). Gambled a bit in Planet Hollywood, came away about $10 up. Walked back for an early night, as we were up early this morning to go to Roos n More. We had booked the baby sloth meet and greet, so we had to be there at 10am, and we got a 1030 slot to meet Velcro the baby sloth. So cute. There were various other animals and the zoo is planning a bit of expansion. Kevin also held a baby kangaroo a bushbaby. Headed back via Valley of Fire, then went to the pool for a bit. We have another Spice Market voucher, so think we're heading back there tonight. We still have a Mandalay Bay dinner buffet voucher, lunch voucher for Lombardi's, 2/1 Bellagio lunch and dinners, plus AmeriCAN drinks, and Senor Frogs drinks. Only here till Friday and I feel like we're getting tight for time now.
  • I was going ask if anyone else wanted to maintain the front page for 2017, as we didn't have a trip planned... But we do now! So I'm happy to continue unless anyone else really wants to?

I thought it could do with a bit of a revamp, maybe make it a bit briefer and be a bit more MSE focused? Suggestions most welcome!

Vanilla8 - that's the second recommendation for presidential limo I've received so many thanks:T

    Correct the spelling

    WEHRE IS NICE

Add up to date info re Lyft ( + their codes) and Uber and pick up locations if not obvious (e.g. Airport and Belaggio).

Possibly add users ratings for buffets.
We ate at California Casino-$9.99 for
    All you can eat salad
    Steak + 2 sides
    Desert (ice cream and cherries)

Utter cr*p (apart from ice cream)

    Ate at Ellis Island
Sign up to players card-Print voucher from machine (no play)
$9.99 Steak + salad. Good value and good food

    Alright pendant :D

For me, TripAdvisor is there for reviews, the MSE front page should be purely about money saving. I'm not going to repeat anything which other websites and blogs already do, we can just link to them.

    That would work.

    Also

How about a link to say Flyertalk re the Ex-Europe fares and missing the last fllight?

    Spelling
Doesn't bother me but in bold and CAPS it stands out :)
