    Yesterday we had a bit of pool time at Tuscany before moving over to Platinum. Moved at 11, and headed out shopping for the afternoon. Did Santa Fe buffet which was decent (free on myVegas), then went to the shops on North Rainbow Blvd. Haven't bought very much so far. Couple of bags, a top and that's about it. Stopped by Walmart on the way back for supplies for the room.

    Went out to McMullan's quiz last night and I woke about 3am or so thinking it's not even the jetlag it's the noise. Thought Kevin was sleeping, but turns out he wasn't so we agreed to phone and ask for another room. noise was awful. Turns out the aircon was above our room. Even the kitchen counter was vibrating. Had to pack up, nightmare as I felt so exhausted. Now in a new room relaxing and hoping I'll get another nap (although it's 8am now and a bit late).

    Today is Henderson shopping day. We usually spend a whole day down there each trip. We've got a GVR breakfast or lunch from myVegas, plus our usual groupon for Gaetano's which is down that way too so that's dinner sorted. Think it will be an early night tonight, I'm getting utterly exhausted with lack of sleep so many nights in a row. :(

    Idea #2 - Do the Grand Canyon helicopter trip. I've done it before but a couple of our party haven't so I'd welcome any pointers to some good deals.

    current deal on Travelzoo

    I don't know how this compares to regular prices from other operators.

    I've not done the maths on this offer for admission to 3 vegas attractions for $68, especially factoring in what you might be able to get elsewhere (groupon etc) but this might work for some;

    the list of attractions is here;

    could be a step closer to a Vegas trip next April!

    do you guys think this is a good deal... direct return flights with Virgin, travelling LHR-Washington / LAS-LGW for £500pp.

    (EDIT: the idea of the trip is a multi city... a few nights in WAS, then onto LAS for a few :) )

    Does that price include the Washington-Vegas flight?

    nope, would have to book an extra internal flight... currently coming in at about £125pp, but will probably go down nearer the time..?

    So looking at maybe £600pp (LHR-IAD / IAD-LAS / LAS-LGW)

    You can still get MAN-LAS direct for around £550 in April if that would be an option for you.

    thanks pebbles, we're south-east, so LHR/LGW is easier (unless it was super cheaper :) )

    sorry, should also have said the idea of the trip is a few nights in WAS, then onto LAS for a few :)

    Hi Im going to Vegas in October and looking to see the Pet Shop Boys at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan.

    The only tickets I can get are in the Gallery General Admission Area, has anyone had experience of watching a band at this allocation, I don't think its seated either.

    Many thanks
