We arrived last night, checked in about 8pm, customs was very quick. Went to bed at 11pm, have been awake about 3 times, and haven't got back to sleep since 2am. Jetlag is a nightmare.

Perhaps we have been lucky but despite going to bed at 6.30pm although we woke up a few times got back to sleep ok and slept through to 6.30am so after a shower will head out for an early breakfast before sorting our day out. Our suite in the Sgnature at MGM is really posh with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette, definitely one of the nicest rooms/suites we have ever stayed.:j
  • Got another hour and a half or so, till about nearly 7am. Not feeling too bad.

So far, last night we just stayed at Tuscany, we had a groupon for 2 frozen drinks, so we used that. We sat at the bar with them, then moved on to slot machines for a while.

This morning, we set out at 745 and walked over to Target on Maryland Parkway. Stopped in a few shops to see if we could get an adaptor. We've stupidly packed 2 european adaptors instead of US ones! We have done this before and got a EU to US adaptor really cheap at Palazzo, but we haven't ventured that far...plus it was 3 or 4 years ago so they might not have them now for 2.99. Hopefully we'll find one without spending 15.99 that they are in the gift shop downstairs!!

Been to the pool for a couple of hours, then got some takeaway mozarella sticks from Marilyns at Tuscany, took them back to the room. Now watching the tennis and will head out shortly. Going to check if our travelzoo spice market coupon could be used for dinner (will likely be an early dinner to avoid the queues).

Lesley / Stoneman - I've kinda been off Facebook for a while but properly off it now (please let me know if Platinum ever respond to my comment... Assuming the comment is still there!)... if you need me for anything, just drop us a line thru here or I can give you my mobile for texting :) catch ya later in the week Lesley :)

Lesley - I have a Travelzoo for 2 people at Sea Thai at Ballys. I think you normally eat Thai food as its friendly right? You can have it if you want it? It expires this month. Same goes for you Stoneman if it's any use and you're here before the end of the month!
  • currently booking dummy trips while OH watches something boring on telly :D

looking at doing a multistop trip... now, if it meant leaving from LGW and arriving at LHR, how would you manage the transport situation? i think there are some parking services which will take the car from one airport to t'other... (we live a couple of hours drive from both airports, and can't get a direct National Express coach to LGW unfortunately).

Probably not relevant, but I can get Manchester drop off at T3 and pick up at T2 for the same price with a meet and greet. It might be worth emailing or calling them to see if they do the same. Would be worth it for a small upcharge maybe?

Ah, I went to reply to you on facebook and you had disappeared :rotfl:. Your comment has disappeared on the Platinum page too by the way. Westin pool is ok, so don't worry too much. Good thing about it is they (certainly used to) have water and cups for free.

We are going to get our car today, so will be out shopping all day. We have to check out here at 11am tomorrow though, so will likely check in early if we can. We'll either be at the pool or stir (wine hour or happy hour) tuesday or wednesday. Sometimes we go out in the car and take longer at the shops than expected. I'll pm you on here? Sea Thai - will they not let you refund it? We have tons of groupons and myvegas deals already. Yes, Thai is generally veggie friendly, we sometimes go to one at home as a mystery shop! I'm not sure I'd be able to use the voucher given we have so many, but thanks for the offer.
