Well you've just taught me something Rebecca-I didn't know about those
I'm seriously thinking to just go with Excalibur to keep costs down being just us two, but not sure, lol. Ooh decisions, decisions. How I wish Vegas was like Blackpool, lol!

I liked Excalibur. Good location for a wander to other casinos without too much of a walk.
I want to go back. Oh that Casino smell.0 -

Did you stay there? How was it? I'm pretty much sold on it now as we don't need the extra space anyway. We will have resort fees on to, but with the exchange rate so poor, a saving of any kind is not to be sniffed at -especially as I shouldn't really be going :rotfl::A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
I stayed at Excalibur for 6 weeks in 2011. It's fine. A bit far south for me, but we thought it was a decent place. Got a bargain price, so it's all good. The pool area was better than I expected too. Just a bit noisy at weekends.
I would save the money.0 -

So getting together all my bits and pieces for our first trip to LV and came across loads of US coins that we have accumulated over various trips to the States over the years, coins are in all denominations but loads of quarters and dimes. Does anybody know if any Casino's will allow me to change these up to play on the slots? I assume that the newer slots only take notes hence my question.
Thanks Ray0 -

The D downtown will also change coins for notes, I haven't asked anywhere else but it is possible all casino cages will still do it0 -
Hi guys,
I'm currently planning my first visit to Vegas in October. I'm finding the amount of info on these threads a bit overwhelming so hope some of you can cut through it all and advise me on a couple of points.
Firstly, we are only going to be there for three nights and would like to maximise our experience so we were thinking of staying two nights in one hotel, and one night in another one. We would like to be pretty central on the strip and stay somewhere nice. My initial thinking was the MGM Grand followed by the Bellagio. Is this a good choice, are there better hotels at a similar price?
Secondly, I've looked at the MyVegas game people have recommended. Can somebody clarify how much time you realistically have to put into it to get any decent prize out of it. How many loyalty points do you need for the decent prizes?
Thanks0
