This may seem like a strange question but how often have you came across birds in the casino? As in the feathery type. :D

I have a bird phobia. I can't walk down a high street without ducking and diving.

We were sat one morning in the Deli at the MGM having a bagel. I glanced into the sportsbook:amazing lots if screens etc. Looked at the table next to me. Two sparrows were sat on the chair back staring at the leftovers.
Well I just dropped my bagel and ran. Guffaws from oh.

A woman cleaning the tables shooed them away and they flew onto a beam next to the sports book. There was 6 of them just stood there.

I was just wondering if they ever let them out. They would starve stuck in there. I am petrified but would not wish them harm.

I did not come across birds in any others. I know work places fly eagles around.

I have a phobia to pigeons so feel your pain! I'd have been carried out of there were pigeons in the place

I thought he'd he jump at the chance too, lol! Never mind spends, i'd live on bread and water out there, lol. Then again, I'm not a gambler/drinker, so my vegas experience is probably pretty tame compared to many :D

    hi

You know people look at me being a guy in his 30's and are stunned when i tell them i don't touch the booze!
though my brother does make up for me when we go on holiday though!
Its rare to find someone else whom doesn't drink though, but else to there own ! I can understand the motion of being pretty tame compared to others though so your not alone.

On a side note,(for all) I ve been having a little debate with my sister whom doesn't share my enthusiasm in regards vegas, she thinks its daft i wanna go again(be my 4th time)

so what makes vegas appealing to you?

I guess for me, it feels like a whole different world. i guess its like an adults disney world without kids.

I have tried explaining to my sister whom just doesn't seem to think vegas is worth it and im struggling to explain to her!!

    hi
    and you are so right!
i would def take my sister though we would have one little problem ( she has a 1 year old daughter so a 10 hour flight is no no)
My sister is trying to tempt me to go to turkey with her and the little one and well if it was to be going there it ll mean cutting out vegas next year-It has to be one or the other!

and yep im so tempted to go a solo trip, just looking around for flight deals at the moment.I guess if i were to do vegas again it ll be all out, sorta the best class of flight possiable, and the best room possiable, though i d love to be able to do what i want when i want really.
    kind regards

I've given up trying to convince people :rotfl: For me, it's the fact Vegas can be what ever you want it to be! You have shows, attractions, top class hotels at decent prices (lets face it, if even the excalibur/Luxor were somewhere else, people would pay more to get in there. You have food and shopping (pre brexit anyway) and the vibe is wonderful.

I don't know if you've all seen Sam Marques' latest youtube clips for her 2016 trip, but her intro was spot on when she says 'We need no fancy intros -we're going to Vegas' And for those of us that get it, that's enough said :T

My kids have been going from ages 5 on wards. My older ones have been 3 times, my youngest twice. He's been to Orlando 3 times and the older ones 9 times. Given the choice Vegas wins hands down. We go at least for 2 weeks, a lot of that time is off strip doing over activities, there is just so much to do. I think the problem is that people think of Vegas purely as a gambling/drinking den, so they make their minds up, wrongly, pretty quickly. And not forgetting the scenery. As you can guess, I'm a bit of a Vegas nut :rotfl:

I have the following prices now for April : BA package from uk flight out only is indirect, staying at Excalibur £1,400.00 for two or Flights from Ireland with BA, staying at the Signature, studio deluxe with balcony (as there's only two of us, no real need for a 1 bed suite) all fees, hotel in ireland, flight over ect £1918.00. Which would you go with? Both are 10 nights, Easter break. I've only stayed at the Signature, apart from my first trip Luxor. But I'm on a budget :D I've become obsessed, lol. My only gripe, is the company I always book the Signature with have offered Tower 1. I always have had Tower 3 so waiting to see if they have anything there.

I well and truly have the vegas bug now. Looking for next year.

It is amazing how some of you get it so cheap. I am limited to school holidays so guess that doesn't help.

What is the difference going with kids? I have an 8 year old but would only go if she was away with her Dad. However there is lots to do with kids. It would be a different experience though I feel. I would have to gobto the pool more. Oh and I loved just wandering; having a beer; playing a slot; looking at the hotels. We would not be able to do this with dd and she would moan about the heat.

Though I have the bug now it is tempting to take her if she is not away with her Dad next year.

We never went near our pool, lol! One big regret though as we had use of the MGM pool :( But we did: Cowabunga bay water park in Henderson- brilliant ,the go karts on rainbow boulevard, hired a cabana and had two pool days at Mandalay at the wave pool (cabana $199, hotel stay myvegas reward, We did towne square going to Game works there which he loved, Madame Taussads, Saw KA , wondering around the hotels and the high roller. We were supposed to do Atomic Museum, Wetn'wild, see recycled percussion, go to a nature reserve wetlands place and springs preserve but due to the chickenpox Saga ran out of time :(

Our Easter break for my youngest is 31st March -19 April. My older daughter will be at Uni and my middle son will be last year A'levels, so I can get away with only taking one and keeping the cost down ;) I hope. Do feel a bit guilty though!

Wow loads. I would take mine to see those "real life" mermaids. Not something I would do for myself though.
