Here again at the end of our 4500 mile road trip
Will try to get some info about our first few days (August 21st -Cosmo then Bellagio) when we get back to UK next week.
However just come back from the Night tour of the Neon Museum and have to say it was well worth the $25 each.
The hour long tour was well informed and the tour guide was very impressive.
Tour books up weeks early so book ahead.
Moving to Palazzo for the last night
BTW it was 104F today and now-at 23:15 it's cooled down to 98F:cool:0 -

So looking at maybe £600pp (LHR-IAD / IAD-LAS / LAS-LGW)
booked! decided to just do it
I think it's a good price... and managed to use 3,000 miles to bring the price down a bit more to £463pp for direct return flights, in to Washington out from Vegas.
and I was thinking i'd have to give up this thread for next year as a trip wasn't on the horizon. but here we again! trip #5!0 -
This might help those about to book a last minute trip
http://www.headforpoints.com/2016/09/09/etihad-sale-extended/Fly La Compagnie to New York, in the next fortnight, for just £700 return!
On Tuesday I wrote about the demise of the ‘all business class’ flights from Luton to New York offered by La Compagnie. The last flight will be 24th September.
La Compagnie is determined to go out on a high and has slashed many of its remaining seats to £698 return. This is an amazing price for a flat bed return flight to or from New York. As a last minute price it is totally ludicrous.
If you are looking for a break in the next fortnight, you’ve just found your destination. Even if you don’t want to visit New York, you could use Avios for an American Airlines connection onwards.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

We're chatting about it already, and we're only just about to leave for hols tonight(a week in Spain). So we'll try to be good and enjoy this holiday properly
But it'll be great food for thought while lying by the pool!0 -
Wednesday we had a day out shopping, from about 12 noon (I was a bit off colour after our move to a new room and very little sleep).
Went down to GVR for lunch, then over to Stephanie Street for shopping, Galleria Mall, then over to Gaetano's for dinner. Think it was the first time in my life I've had a doggy bag to take home as I couldn't eat it all. That sort of proved I wasn't feeling well! Back to the hotel for a bit of relaxing on the balcony with a view of the strip, then watched some of the tennis.
Yesterday we went over to the Westin pool (Platinum pool was closed). Apparently the new sun loungers haven't turned up, so I'm not sure how we'll get on with any attempts to use the pool today which is a bit annoying. After that, we went out in the car, over to Red Rock buffet for lunch. We then went to Downtown Summerlin, which is really improved since last year with lots of shops open. This is all walkable from Red Rock Resort, so it's making it a more attractive place to spend a few nights too as there is plenty to do.
Headed back via walmart to stock the fridge up with soft drinks and breakfast stuff, then went down to Stir and chatted to nvh for a while. We had planned to use a myvegas 2/1 for Bellagio buffet, but ended up having something at the Bally's food court, then went for a walk to Planet Hollywood and round via The Linq.0 -
I am sorry, I cannot remember who posted the tip about returning and re-buying a MyVegas reward with a longer expiry date while the US sleeps, but thank you. Hubby did just this with a 2x Aria lunch buffet reward today.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
