But not that nice for 5hrs TBHO:cool:Seldom_Seen_Kid wrote: »Thanks for the information on headforpoints. I will have a good read later, but have signed up for their emails in the meantime.
5 hours waiting, followed by a long flight, is just too much for me. We normally get the train to Manchester and spend the night before in Radisson. In theory, this is longer than 5 hours, but it is a really relaxing start to the holiday.
We once changed at Huston. We supposedly had a 5 hour layover. Over 2 hours was spent queuing at immigrationn!

Going to start packing today because we fly on Thursday morning! Eek!
We ended up cancelling our Flamingo reservation, we're going to stay at Excalibur for the full 10 nights. We liked it there last year, clean and modern room, good gym and great pool. With the rubbish exchange rate at the moment we thought we might as well save some cash ($350 cheaper to stay at Excal) and it's a reasonably safe bet that we'll be happy there!
Got Groupons for PBR @ PH ($12 for $40 of food as I had a 50% off coupon), Tacos & Tequilas (two Chongas for about $2 because I had a coupon for a free deal up to $20ish) and Jimmy's Seaside Fries ($7 for $18 of food)
Got Travelzoo for Spice Market ($29 for two, any time)
Got a $50 r.com coupon for House of Blues
Got $60 of TR points from Social Rewards to use too
And finally, got a selection of different MyVegas rewards between us, we can use 7 between us so will return the excess. I've returned the 2 x MC buffet after (I think) Lesley's experience - thanks for sharing and saving us the disappointment!
We're seeing Penn & Teller and Britney while we're there
Other than that my only aims for this trip are to have plenty of pool time and spend more time in Caesars, Wynncore and V/P as we barely stepped inside last year

We stayed at Excalibur for 6 weeks in 2011. We thought it was fine. It was a bit farther south than I like, but couldn't beat the savings. You've got plenty of choices for food planned too.
Have a lovely time.0 -
Thank you
Wow - six weeks...one day, I wish lol! Yeah I'd prefer a bit further north and I don't love the casino but we both really like playing in Luxor and NYNY so it's well located in that respect"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Have a great trip.
Husband has started clearing out some of his 'spare' clothes to sell on ebay this morning. His idea is to make the extra £ to compensate for the $ rate by selling stuff that he has not worn in ages and is simply taking up space.0 -

Thank you and good plan! We're lucky that we didn't need to buy any currency this year and bought Groupons etc before the referendum. I won't be penny pinching once we're there but every little helps in the planning though!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

We fly out on Friday for 6 nights staying at the encore - still have too much to get done to get excited just now. What night are you going to Britney? We are going on Wednesday and i got standing golden circle tickets. Dont know if they will be any good or if seats would be better but i will want to dance if its a good show. We are going to the UFC200 on Saturday night which should be good. The weather forecast is scorchio all week - bring it on!If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
