Is that the guy with the greasy sidecomb, moustache and glasses?0 -

Southwest with some good internal flight prices to and from LV. Someone was looking recently for Washington to Vegas I think but can't remember which dates. These run through to December.0 -

at the moment im looking at trying to get as much info in regards IF First class or business class with BA or Upper class with virgin would be worth the effort/cost/value for money going with these bigger airlines, im doing alot of research in that respect.Have i maybe missed another worthwhile airline? At the moment I are looking for something like this
edinburgh>london>vegas ----vegas-london-edinburgh
BA Business class with Avios. Take out an American Express Premium Plus British Airways credit card and throw all your routine spending on it. Get a signup bonus (about 20,000 avios), when you reach £10,000 spend you get a 2 for 1 voucher, so 2 return tickets to Vegas for only one load of Avios. You earn Avios at a rate of 1.5 for every £1. Shop in Tesco and change your clubcard vouchers into Avios. Be flexible when booking to find reward seats.
Ideally you want business class both ways, but if you can't get that choose premium economy outward and business return. Come back on a night flight and enjoy the flat bed seat. A night spent in a bed on a plane saves a night's hotel cost.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Only 1 month ago I decided to get involved on the Avios scheme. I decided to go for the standard BA AE Credit Card as it did not have an annual fee, as opposed to £195 for the Premium Plus. Have a made a mistake?
I should add that we live in Leeds and so BA is not the most convenient operator for us, so at this moment in time we are not 100% sure how we would utilise the Avios. Basically, we just thought we would get started by earning Avios from every day spends. We had a sign up bonus of 10k, and from spends, signing up to surveys etc currently have 15k.0 -
Dollar at TI - the one thing I've felt recently is that they keep trying to downgrade the car and give us something smaller. We usually book the one that's focus or equivalent, and they have tried to give us a fiesta, kia rio etc which are definitely smaller, sometimes 3 door (I always book 5 door to try to avoid the downsize!!).
Problem is, I really can't be bothered going down to the airport to pick up. We don't want the car right when we arrive, would rather have it a few days into our trip. Also don't want to be coming off the plane and driving (time, tiredness, travel, darkness, and last but not least we might want a couple of drinks on the plane).
There used to be a nice woman on the desk, she was Spanish origin I think - used to hear her speaking Spanish to people. She moved to MGM though and I think she left when they closed down all the dollar desks at the hotels.
I must say, we have been unfortunate enough to be in an accident in Vegas, and Dollar were VERY good about it. At first they said 'that's fine, just drive the car to LA and let them know there', but they were missing the fact that the car was perhaps not driveable. I had issues with the guy who crashed into us, he decided afterwards it was my fault and he ended up being caught lying to Dollar's insurance about it...but they just told me not to worry and not to communicate with the other driver and leave it to them. phew.0 -

You haven't made a mistake as such (and I think you could correct it by phoning up and asking to be upgraded to the premium plus account if you wished).
Basic differences between the cards are:
1. you earn 1 Avios per £1 spend vs 1.5 Avios per £1 spend
2. Greater sign up bonus with the PP card
3. 2 4 1 vouchers are valid for 2 years rather than 1.
But it comes at a fee of £195, so only worth it if you are going to use it. BA flies from Leeds, so you could do one ticket LBA-LHR-LAS return.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Thanks for the information, it is greatly appreciated.
It was looking at the BA LBA-LHR-LAS that started me on the Avios scheme. However, on the dates I looked at it is LBA-LHR 9:20 – 10.35 and LHR-LAS 15:50 – 18:30. I am not one for a 5 hour and 15 minute wait at LHR, and 2 connections is not for me.
I think, whilst my knowledge is low at the moment, I made the right choice not paying an annual fee. Nice to know that my general spend (no effort required) is quietly earning Avios though, and that when I do come to look at 2017 holidays I might be able to make a saving.
I looked at the following for general information: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/boost-avios-points0
