Re parking. Come to think of it we only ever park at Bellagio of the MGM properties so that can easily be avoided.

BUT if Caesars properties start then we would have to look at alternatives.
The car goes out with us every night and we always valet park.
I'm not paying $15 for the privilege and I bet the valets are up in arms about it.

I also got a take on their opinion of Uber etc. At the Platinum at least they hate them. Where they used to get a tip for hailing a cab now they get nothing because the cab is prebooked, shows up, and the passenger just jumps in. It's been costing these guys a lot of money over a week.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Parking charges at ALL the MGM props started this week, Mon & Tues...
up until Thurs, its been madness! They have peeps at the parking entrance/exit 24/7......
Seems to have settled down a bit, but heard and saw queues to get out of the carparks...

Luckily for us, we come and go as we please, as we got Pearl with Mlife, so its free parking in any of the MGM hotels....

The parking is done upto 4hrs, then 8hrs, then 24hr.... If you were driving about between hotels, shops, etc, sounds like it could get expensive!

We fly home tomorrow, bit gutted, as its been a great 2 weeks, am also broke, no luck this year :(:(

Stuie the last three ,Mandalay bay Delano and mirage start charging tomorrow.

everyone gets a free first hour.

I did see about the queues on the news

Agree with stoneman about valet charges, can't see how the valet drivers will now make any money.

I thought it would impact the non MGM garages ( ie make them busier) but it didn't make any difference at Ballys at the end of last week but it may have been a bit early

I know some folks on here don't like the Spice Market buffet, but for those that do - Travelzoo has it up to 1st October just now. $39 for 2 without drinks, or $49 for 2 with drinks. There's a code for $10 off though as well, SAVE10B. I just got the one with drinks for $39 :)

Actually that code would work for High Roller too, they have a good deal, although it expires 1st September so too early for me!

Hubby brought this to my attention, it seems we meant to go a few years ago and it was cancelled or maybe we just missed it by a short time. He's very much a boy about these things, and I think it will be fun. I last saw the Blue Angels as a kid, I think, and I am hoping that I will get to see them here.

    12th & 13th November.

I am a bit nervous about the idea of shuttle buses from parking to the event, as last time we did that (Bridging America) it was a bit of a mess.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Was that when they opened the new bridge? We were rather lucky to find each other that time! Serendipity?
