yup, was 115 on Sunday, although the hottest day was Thursday, either it was just too hot, or the sun was reflecting off the glass at the Cosmo, as had to keep going in the pool every 20 mins!!!!!
went to Primm yesterday, few empty shops, and deals don't appear all that good down there......0 -

Can anyone advise?
Thanks
I was under the impression you could only use one type of reward every 90 days. We used $75 restaurant credit, $50 free slotplay and free buffet. I couldn't say use 2 free slotplays in one visit.
Ready to be corrected if I am wrong.0 -
I think you're right. Only one hotel room reward per person - this was certainly the case when I last checked and as the rewards never get better I can't imagine it's any different. Some people have two night rewards showing so if you can see them and they match your dates then you might be in luck.
In other My Vegas news, I can now see the 2 x Aria buffet again. I don't want it but felt mightily offended when I couldn't see it!
Photome - was MC buffet really that bad? I've got the 2 x dinner, haven't heard much good about it but was hoping it was at least passable!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Think that only applies to hotel rooms. I know of people recently who used more than one freeplay reward per trip (think there's a minimum length MLife stay requirement for those thoug)"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Hi Lesley, thanks for the heads up! I did the secret garden in 2013 and really enjoyed it. It was a nice oasis and something I would have actually paid for. I got two free tickets from Myvegas at that time and loved it. I too got the yard drinks at Senor frogs a while back, I also got the Travelzoo high roller and Spice Market from groupon too. How did you find Dal Toro? I was thinking of this as our strip meal, but many reviews moan of extra charges. I'm confused as it seems like a service charge so it's just the tip. It does look really nice though. I've got loads of deals from steaks to Thai, lol.
Thanks for that info about Secret Garden. Sounds like a good plan.
We really enjoyed Dal Toro, we even sat outside. I don't remember any strange charges. Obviously you tip at the 'total rate' - ie if the bill is $60, you have the groupon which you paid $35 for (or less if you get a discount). They'll tax you on the full $60, and the service charge (I think). So yes, you don't get it completely 'free' because you have the deal, but then you would never get $60 of food from a menu for $60 in Vegas if that makes sense. A normal bill would be $60 plus tax plus tip so more like $80 or more. Hope that makes sense. It's still a really good saving!
I don't know if you're having a laugh at my non-meat eating and non-thai food eating now lol. I've actually finally taking a liking for thai food, I was at a nice Thai place in Glasgow and really enjoyed it. Didn't touch Thai food in Thailand though :rotfl:0 -

Sorry to say..yes it was that bad.
The choice is tiny, and most of the food we had was inedible. Roast chicken pieces that we couldn't cut in to as it was so dry, prawns that didn't smell like prawns to us.
We didn't eat much and if we had paid for it we would have been disgusted for nearly $25 a head
We went for lunch at sunset station yesterday on my Vegas, cost should have been $7.99 and it was way way better than MC0 -
I know I should google, but where is that? Venetian? Any photos of your food?
thanks for the heads up re: Fizz - I guess that's new too? where is it (in Caesars!)?
Dal Toro - it might technically be in Palazzo, but you're in the right place. It's right on the strip, maybe you can picture it as its just off the pavement, at a slightly lower level mabye 2 steps down if I remember correctly.
Fizz - yes, fairly new but it's not just new this year. It's in Caesars. We did the groupon for it last year. Just a small warning it says mimosas or martinis. A martini to them is basically a straight vodka etc, so it's maybe not what you'd want to be drinking (I certainly couldn't drink that!!). You can do a walk in deal I believe for unlimited champagne (check in case you might even be able to use your total rewards points for that), but it costs a bit more than the groupon, and it's 'champagne only'. That said, we just had champagne (mimosas without the orange) which they were fine with too. Watch out for private parties at it as well. I think we tried to go on my birthday last year and when we arrived it was closed to the public, we went back the next night. Not so good if you have tight plans.
Best deals wait till there's a 20%. We're just still slightly outwith our 90 days, it only takes us into the start of our trip and I'd rather any groupons had validity for our whole time there for flexibility.0 -
An outside chance we might make a Vegas trip next Easter... thinking of flying to Washington for 3 nights, then internal to Vegas for 6 nights and back to London. Flights with Virgin actually look decent at the moment, £620pp for direct return flights... internal flights are about £180pp.0

Cabana at sunset station courtesy of my vegas
We had a cabana for the day yesterday after purchasing the reward while in Vegas, it has to be used within 15 days so it only shows up while in Vegas ( I think)
Was well worth it for the shade , the fan, the water misters ,the bottled water and fruit
Were you staying there? I take it you can just use this and get pool access too?0 -
Thanks Lesley, I did think it a bit strange what people we're complaining about-as you have to tip, lol! And no, I had no idea what foods you don't eat, I was just 'showing off' my haul-I love a bargain
I bought the Dal Toro :T We were going to go to Hexx as our 'posh' strip meal, but will have this one instead, plus my 8 year old is mad about cars and as it's near that car place, he'll be happy too. I had to laugh at one of the reviewers, who said he would not eat there again as his wife's breakfast was pecked to pieces by birds and the staff did nothing to help. In all honesty, what could they do other than shoo them away :rotfl:
And all this cabana talk is making me so excited for my pool day at Mandalay Bay. $199 for a cabana there isn't bad at all. 47 days and counting:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
