Very good advice Narc0lepsy about not getting stressed about Christmas; it's so easy to get carried away with it all and getting in a right old state.

Of course I realise it is easy for me to say, as I don't have children and this year I'm not having many house guests staying so it is less of a scrabble to organise bedrooms and food!

Conservatory floor is done and looks really nice. The men were really neat and put all rubbish in a bag.
    Report progressing well.
Done a few more odds and ends but suspect now time for a bit of lunch, although I mustn't forget I'm out for dinner and may pig out. Will save next lemsip till then!

  • Thanks bossy and natty

I have been flying. And have the cleanest kitchen floor imagineable after trying to be organised and doing Tuesday on Monday. Hoovered and mopped after cleaning. Then bought tree - which for some reason had to come through the kitchen

    Cue hoover again.

Then started hoovering the hall and landing. Forgot to re-route hoover cable properly. Plug pulls out of socket. Knocks over potted herbs. Compost everywhere. And I'd just watered them. Cue hoover AND mop!

Going to have to do it again - muddy dog prints! But I'm going to wait for today's cooking session first just in case.:rotfl:

Having a bit of a celebration tonight. My last 'Body Challenge' weigh in. (I ran for a full hour on Sunday. I can now call myself a runner!)Then home to enjoy steak and YS Gu Chocolate Mousse. 7 months today. And I'm looking forward to Christmas for the first time in years.

I've also signed up for a 5k on 9th January in Edinburgh. My mother thinks I should lie down until the feeling goes away!

I have a Secret Santa gift. Thank you. It is my first gift and will be going under the tree once we've decorated it. Cue more hoovering!:D

((((hugs)))), sticks and spoons to all. I'm off to fly.

Aww FBO it's great to hear you're looking forward to christmas (hugs) we are all so very proud of what you've achieved xx

Well I have been to the dentist and he's not impressed :( says it should have cleared up by now. I have different antibiotics and if it's no better in 1 week I've to go back and he's taking it out :( ah well. I think I knew we'd end up here... But...

In 1 week we'll be in lapland! :snow_grin

So dentist will have to wait :T

I've done no laundry, but I am still at paid stuff so I'll sort some tonight. Lord knows what I'll feed the kiddies.

Bossy I'm like that too - I'm going for fishfingers and chips ;)

I did enjoy my hour worth of knitting whilst watching The Bridge on iPlayer. Now the peace has been obliterated as got both kids home and they're in the middle of scrapping over the huge big tin of sweets Z has brought home and she's not letting him choose some. Oh joy.

  • Bossy Dh had an abscess on the tooth dentist took out recently, and had to keep getting abs, my mum advised him to rinse and gargle in salt water as often as he could. Once he started doing that the infection all cleared away.

Hope you have a magical time in Lapland

Work done and picked up flapjack order, going to do some wrapping and ironing now.

  • Narco good advice. I got in a state last night because I am trying to organise my annual Christmas get together when I have all the family around and it's proving impossible to pin everyone down to a date. I realise now I was blowing things out of all proportion.

Work has been manic and to be honest I came home and flopped. Nothing achieved since then but some internet browsing has been done. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find a nice soap dispenser for the bathroom!!! Need to go to Li*l while DS2 is at footie tonight. I have made a list.

Pigpen you do realise that all this stuff is going to accumulate again when people start giving you presents back? With your lot you must get loads of pressies!!! One reason why I am glad that mine are older now and get cash/vouchers. Oh, does that make me sound a bit bah humbug?

Right, need to go and make some diced chicken breast into something interest. Blimey is it that time already?
