    Morning all!

Pigpen glad the scarf is sorted. As for the person messing you around on the skills swap website well all I can say is more fool her!!

Narc0lepsy I hope your cold is very short lived as you really don't want that hanging around do you. I find taking 2 paracetamols sharpish when I get the cold signs can get rid of it very quickly if I'm lucky.

    Frizzlef love your Elf list!

    Here's my list:

    Finish typing
Clean out chooks - MUST do - been putting off as rainy and horrid outside whenever I've thought about it but needs must now. Will put on J's decorating overalls and then have a shower after as not the nicest of jobs to do

Call Millies Wolfheart re Pip’s food
    Wrap presents
    [STRIKE]Order present for A[/STRIKE]

Monday - a bit of everything!
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb all through downstairs[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe down your front door, inside and out.[/STRIKE]
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
    Wash a window

Also need to [STRIKE]walk Whiz[/STRIKE] and buy yet more milk - it'd be cheaper to keep a cow in the back garden I'm sure.

    Best get going x

  • Morning!

Yuk mumof2, we used to keep chickens, and I really don't miss shovelling stinky hen plop.

Did well yesterday, new hallway filled and sanded, not much tidying of dumpy house done though. On the plus side, did help out at school wrapping up about ten million tubes of jelly tots!

    Today's plan.

Bit of tidying, hoovering type thing.
Wax doors and beams in hall
    Shop for ceiling paint
    Paint ceiling
    Present wrapping to be finished.

    There!

Have a good day all xx

    Morning all,

Grey and dismal here - working from home today and tomorrow - dentist appointment this afternoon :( it's actually flat since I drained it _pale_ so if he gives me more antib's I may just stash them to take next week...

So I've got a plan for my last two days paid stuff - which I might even finish today if I'm organised! Leaving tomorrow to do planning for January and getting ahead with the calendar and so on.

Have booked airport parking for next week, and scrawled on my weekly planner what I need to do before then.

College taster session was very interesting but given only 5 turned up I'm not hopeful the course will run in January. I'm going to contact another college as a back up I think. I don't want to delay by another term. I'll be very pleased if it does go ahead, though. I shall need a lot of career planning support next year, I think! Thankfully our redundancy package includes just that!

But for now I shall just have to put it out of my mind and deal with this month first!

Must do laundry today - DD has run out of vests - how?

    Morning. :D

Feeling very tired this morning but I have 3 days to finish Christmas so can't waste any time!

I'm going to run to the bank etc this morning as its forecast rain this afternoon. I hate shopping in my coat when I'm walking a distance as I get hot so I want to be there and back so I can wear my hoodie to go instead :o I've got accounts up to date, swapped out vouchers (not that I'll probably use them when its so much off a £40 spend) and been through my receipts on the Mr A price guarantee so now have £6.73 to spend in store :money: I'll hopefully call in there on the way back but we'll see. I can always stick something else in for tea instead of the stew ;)

Tue - Catch up with to do list, Order deadline, bank, pay bill,
Wed - errands in town (cards), Carol Concert
Thur - Wrap DDs gifts (could be done Saturday), last minute errands/me time, Reindeer parade??
Fri - DD breaks up at 12, Bath & me time in the am
Sat - DD out with ex, wrap DD's gifts, deep clean livingroom
    Sun - Decs up!
Mon - Delivery, "Argghhhh I forgot" errands

Wed- House clean top to bottom
    Thur - Get DD packed
    Fri - Celebrate
Sat - DD going away and relax :rotfl:

    To do:
Find out when I can renew DD's bus pass (add to town errands if not online) - Useful "A few weeks before term" given on the website. I'll have to call into a travel centre when in town tomorrow now.
    Write/post friends card
Finish the window That'll have to wait until I get home
Check my reward level on SS (wait for emails to arrive) - Still waiting on emails to arrive
Place Ar order - Tuesday for Wed collection
Laundry - dark, light, bedding - Urgent now DD has declared she needs her Christmas jumper by Friday!
    Change my bed
Shopping lists for Mr A, Mr Al, and other shops (hide from DD!)
Print TV instruction book out (need to work out how to set things up on it properly) Printing now!
    Fling old work books
Pay credit card bills (post bank trip)

Walked the dog, had a cuppa and I think I can say I've finished getting all the Christmas presents thanks to online shopping at Mr T and Amazon. Now going to clean the front door and then get out in the garden and sort out those chooks which will take a good 30 minutes or so. Then shower (decontamination time!), early lunch and get my typing done. That's the plan.

Thanks. Mr N had one at the weekend, and it literally was less than 48 hrs so I'm hoping mine will be similar. I went to bed with a hot lemsip and have had another this morning. It's cold, murky and damp outside so I ain't goin' anywhere until I go out for a meal with friends this eve, thankfully it is local.

I'm a bit peeved at the floor fitters, they have just rung (10.40) to say they will be here in the next hour or two! They were meant to ring first thing, Mr N spoke to them yesterday. I would have gone to zumba at 9.30 even though I don't feel brilliant, as it is the last one Pre-Christmas - I'm going to a concert at the Albert Hall next Tues.

Anyway so far I've swept the old conservatory floor as the new vinyl can go on top of it.
    Started another report.
Followed up a couple of flagged emails.
    Topped up mobile phone.

The lounge now looks a total wreck; it has the conservatory furniture in it and now this rather large tree we bought last night; strangely it looked much smaller in the large Tesc0.......

The kitchen looks a total wreck as it has some conservatory plants in and 2 boxes of food to go to the 'boat people' (a friend is Minister of the local canal area, and there are some families who have very little and are struggling).

My study is a perpetual mess but I'm used to that, so about to make a coffee and get my head down over a report.

Be nice to yourselves you busy people; enjoy the good bits and don't stress over the chaos. We have Christmas for a reason, and it isn't manic shopping or too much food......
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Very good advice Narc0lepsy about not getting stressed about Christmas; it's so easy to get carried away with it all and getting in a right old state.

About to do my lunch now - did the chooks and it looks so much nicer now and then for some weird reason had a go at sorting out the back porch where we keep the chicken and dog food. I threw away all sorts of odds and ends that are completely unnecessary, took the bins out, gave the floor a really good sweep after chucking away the horrid old bits of carpet that were down there and just generally tidied it up. We've definitely had little mice in there as found lots of evidence so hoping with being able to keep the floor swept that will deter them. Really enjoyed my shower after all that!!
