Thank you Bossy! I'll try to be in this weekWould it be rude of me to take my marigolds round to my mothers to help her shift stuff about in a room which has had rats running about it, poisoned it in and rotting in it??
But that's just me and (none pet) rats. Good luck!
Mumof2 *hugs*
CY - We haven't got our decorations up yet either. DD is not impressed
Up and tidied both bedrooms & livingroom, rubbish out and breakfast eaten by 7am. I've been on the computer catching up with admin or nagging DD to get a move on. She's out at a christmas party tonight so its solo tea for me, I'm thinking soup or mug of pasta type thingShe has been warned its stew going in the slow cooker tomorrow (I need to pick up a bag of stew veg) for tea, and the leftovers with a bit added to it Wednesday, and if possible/necessary Thursday as well :rotfl: She is overjoyed :rotfl::rotfl: She's also out Tuesday at club, then Wednesday we have to be at the church for 7pm. I'm wondering whether it will rain again this year? This is our 4th carol concert, the first one it snowed and the past 2 its absolutely hammered it down with rain while I've been outside waiting for ex to arrive so we can sit together and talk about arrangements etc. We have 3 more after this (DD is going to the sixth form attached to the school all being well), so one year we will have a dry one don't we? :rotfl:

Mon - Delivery, "Argghhhh I forgot" errands

... I'm standing strong.
*SNIP*
Have a good day and sorry to ramble on about J; thanks for all your help and support over the last week with this.
Good for you.. you're doing really well.. and it will be worth it! .. and rant away.. you need an outlet and we can be that for you..
Pixie has been screaming for 20 minutes.. I think I have successfully yelled at pretty much everyone this morning.. why can they not just get ready and leave? Is it really so complex all this 'eat, dress, brush hair, wash face etc, leave' .. Then OH stands there vacant and says 'I can smell cat poo' .. cue the 'I DON'T EFFING CARE JUST GET THEM TO SCHOOL!!!' .... nothing like a bit of morning rage to get the circulation going! hahaha
I think I have a million other things to do today too..
ask DS2 to get letter from college
Chase CAMHS apt for DS3 ... lazy turds have tried fobbing us off with some rubbish counselling crap instead of a proper psychologist which he was referred to.. if the psychologist didn't think he needed to be there she wouldn't have referred him there.. not one to be messed about this week.
Finish cat cowl
Finish mothers scarf
Finish mitts
Sort car insurance.. needs to start 20-12
I need to do a fling in the middle room and a furniture reshuffle in the back room..
Post parcels,
sort cards and SS,
block 3 items,
sort Avon.
Wrap DS1 stuff.. only 2 boxes so not too long I suppose.
1 parcel delivery,
book appointment @ SMB
2 school runs
Dinner in SC.. I thought chicken/noodle soup would do.. I have loads of chicken and a bag of mini pasta bows which will suffice..
That's a list and a half isn't it? ... Best crack on... and get dressed!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
thanks for the list. Not at work today as working Friday instead. Just got in from school run as they had a Christmas craft morning and then hubby and I sat and had a cup of tea and croissants! Yum!
Yesterday was an interesting day. Hubby had a race in a country park in the morning and then in the afternoon he was going to finish decorating the nursery. But.... His friend bought him home and he was hobbling. Just started joking about what he would do to get out of decorating when he showed me the huge egg on his ankle! So I did the decorating and a friend helped to rip the carpet up. Just need to give the coving another coat today. We sat and watched a family film which was nice and then I wrote loads of Christmas cards in the evening so I think I'm almost done! Starting afresh this week, so here is my list....
Paint nursery coving
Paint playroom coving
Food list
Present list
Address and post Christmas cards
Dismantle unit downstairs and take upstairs.
Sort out unit and start to put toys away
Present for friends new little boy
Congratulations card

I'm in, as much as I ever am. Slow start as I was happily typing a report at midnight + ; I wish my body clock worked the other way round but it just doesn't. Missed gym class as a result, which didn't improve mood. However put DW on, checked emails, checked latest report and sent it off. I've promised one more today and hope to be well on the way with a second.
Answered door to sales person; they are offering to put fibre optic in the village so we get a decent speed - only trouble is, although I feel it is good value, it is far higher spec than I need so consequently at least £15 per month more than I am paying now. Shame.
Emptied DW while coffee boiling, so about to embark on next report.
Rest of days' plan:
- go to PO and post last few cards
- that should enable me to clear dining room table which is currently covered in card boxes, lists, empty books of stamps etc.
- go into town for a few things when Mr N gets home
-choose e-cards with Mr N and get those off
- move furniture out of conservatory when the floor people have confirmed if and when they are coming tomorrow.
I'm not tempting fate by listing anything else at present.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Quick check in to cross things off my list.

Good luck at the dentist MummyRoys. At least you won't have to dread going any more because you've made yourself do it. (OH is there as I type having broken a tooth last night.)
Healing vibes for your abscess Bossy.
My secret santa gift has arrived. OH told me I can't open it until Christmas Day, so it's under the tree. Thank you, whoever sent it.
Villa Valli sounds as though it's coming on just beautifully. If anyone complains about the standards of cleanliness here they are told where the cleaning gear is kept. It doesn't happen often any more.
Paperwork shuffling going on, then kitchen floor I think.Better is good enough.0 -
Honey bear- OH broke a tooth a few weeks ago. Hope your OH gets on ok x
Just had lunch and rested my painting arm. Done a few lists at the same time!
Going to crack on again now.....Grocery challenge- feb 2015- £133.07/£2500 -
Thank you. Our excellent dentist has made a temporary fix for him, but has to rebuild it apparently. OH phoned to ask whether it would be better to have it done on 22nd December (on the way to stay overnight in Totnes for the pre-Christmas fair, booked months ago) or on the 23rd (on the way back from collecting the turkey from the farm near Totnes). 22nd, I say, that way we don't have to zoom away if we're having a fine time.
Builder here tomorrow, boarding one of the bays in the attic. Disruption Central; furniture being moved out of the firing line, dust sheets everywhere, soggy builders boots on carpets. Deep joy.Better is good enough.0 -
Honey Bear no wonder it's Disruption Central at home - sending a hug to help you to cope with all of it. Having been in your shoes 3 years ago when we had our extension done I know it's no fun.
Here's what I've got left to do:
Monday - a bit of everything!
Dust and deweb all through downstairs
Wipe down your front door, inside and out.
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.
Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Wash a window
Wipe over the seats
Not bad is it - going to go out now to get the chooks some layer pellets and get us a few bits of food I missed off the internet order the other day. Also got a typing job to do.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Afternoon
Kitchen done
Shopping done
WM x 2 on the go
Whole house hoovered
Bins done
Bed remade
Wrapped up some bits for OH, really stuck for items for his main present, and he was not help last night when I asked him..............at this rate he will be going with out, but have an IOU note instead.
