Oh dear, accidentally bought some more yarn for a poncho I want to make - in my defence I had to really to make the most of the sale on for Drops yarn - Pigpen I'm sure you'll back me up on this being a fellow knitting fan!

Feeling a bit jittery about Christmas really; don't do well with lots of people and that's what I'm going to have to face at MILs next week. Will have to take a deep breath.

OK, going to go and vacuum upstairs and sort out the multiple floordrobes after completing my typing job. Decided not to walk Whiz - too windy and rainy and he doesn't do either. Sensible boy.

Well you can't knit it with air ;)

Lots of people.. you have 2 choices.. hide in the bathroom with a biiiiig G&T .. so you don't have to come out so often.. or.. imagine them all in mankini's with reindeer antlers.. You will be fine.

No rocket.. bit of limp lettuce but no rocket.
What number did you live on my street?

    bit of a paranoid question..

I know I am very blunt and a bit crispy but.. do I come across as aggressive??

I don't sugar coat anything I know this but am I aggressive??

Hi all, it was a while ago but I wanted to say thanks for your encouragement when I was feeling really low. I think tiredness didn't help. House looks like a tip but not stressed, just going to chip away. I've been sorting Christmas presents and the house is feeling it! dishwasher is on and the tumble drier with clothes I washed yesterday(?), so going to read back for inspiration and blitz as much as I can.

Tiredness never helps; glad you are feeling a little better and, like you say, keep chipping away.

Good to get some exercise though so don't be too hard on yourself. You deserve a quiet day every now and then :)

Pigpen picturing people in mankinis with reindeer antlers may just help - I'll have to give it a go!

As for being aggressive then no, not at all. You are a straight talker and say what you think and that's a good thing. Too many people are too namby pamby (sp?) about what they are trying to put across but you're not like that.

Done all Bossy's list and can't believe the number of clothes I found under Z's bed - messy little so and so. I've sorted them out into stuff that I think she's grown out of now which can go to CS and the other stuff I've hung up in her wardrobe. Just starting to think about school run to get an over excited almost 9 year old and then helping Z pack up her stuff .... is it wrong to wish it was bed time already?

  • mumof2 you are right, a quiet day every now and then. You can tell I'm not doing anything as I am here posting. I am thinking about putting the WM on though. That counts.
piggers I was a student, and have fond memories, no 32 (probably) was where Oh and I first lived together. (until housemate accidentally set it on fire). Lovely you live so close to your daughter.

Thanks mumof2 for your post. Hoping things get easier for you soon.

WM is on for second time, kitchen surfaces clear and clean (until I start to cook), 3 shirts ironed... getting there - not all I wanted to get done today will be done but I think I had unrealistic hopes!
  • Funnily eniugh I've never thought a about it before but I lived at a 9 twice and a 99 as a child now I live at a 39.
