Washed up, helped Z with her packing, done her packed lunch ready and made my bed with nice new cosy covers from Mr Li*l (£11.99 for double flannelette which I thought was good) and now Z is in the shower. S getting ready for bed and being super good because he wants to sleep with me again, bless him. Remembered to put the recycling out and almost filled another Ikea bag with clothes from when I sorted out Z's bedroom earlier
Feeling tired tonight, once S is in bed going to settle down with my knitting and watch Cuffs & The Apprentice.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I know I am very blunt and a bit crispy but.. do I come across as aggressive??
I don't sugar coat anything I know this but am I aggressive??
No. You come across as a no-nonsense, no messing kinda person with a very big heart.
Mad day at work again. House is sliding into chaos. I have a sore throat which I really dont have time for. If I ignore it will it go away? Oh and I still have Christmas cards to post.
Going to plod on and do a bit more tonight or its all going to run away with me and I have no electricity for part of tomorrow because the nice electricity company are doing some maintenance work.0 -
Phew! What a rather mad evening. Phonecall at 5.15 from friend who is stuck in city and can I collect their kiddies from school club. School club closes at 6pm and she didn't get to mine until 7.15! What a nightmare drive for her. So we've had an impromptu play / tea date! Luckily they had eaten lots at club as I'd not really done enough tea, so extra toast was made and everyone was happy.
Consequently I've only just got my two off to bed. DS picked all his cars up and there's only really DDs room that's messy, plus a bit of washing up to do.
I'm officially finished work until 4th jan but may do some unofficial bits and bobs on Friday. Tomorrow, mum is popping over. I will give her the present for DD (how much to bet she asks me to wrap it? I'm saying no!) and we'll sort the food shopping list. Later I'm watching DS in his concert and after school later on is the beavers party. Must take money and cake!
Tonight, I need to deal with two elves who currently look like they are snogging!, and I'm looking through the tv times to decide what films to recordBossymoo

TYVM my secret santa - whoever you are! (And I really have no clue!)
Got some GUAG so have been busy since I got in from work; work pressies unwrapped, put away and carefully listed so that the children can have a thank you card.
Bin fed (big , lidded cat litter tray flung - WOOT) - and I cannot wait for DD to get home and be surprised!
I had to do assembly today. Had decided on a story then changed my mind when I woke at 5 am - quick google on work i pad and I had the bare bones of an assembly on xmas symbols - so mad dash round house - angel, star, candle, mini fir tree, model santa flung into bag. Went to FOUR shops before work until I found a candy cane - and clipped some holly off a bush near school - with berries so a double whammy (thorns and blood!). Borrowed a wreath from Y3 and I was good to go. Some children allowed to choose and item from bag, meaning and symbolism discussed - assembly a success. Unbeknownst to me the boss was listening to part of it:eek:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Sounds great Valli x
As I suspected my course in January isn't going ahead:( bit disappointed but I shall contact the other college and see what they are doing. They are hoping to run it after easter but I just can't see it happening. Any later and I'll miss the September start for the next level which would cost me a whole year... Gah.
So tomorrow, I shall call the other college.Bossymoo

Wow Valli, that sounds great!
Bossy what a shame about the course but let's hope the other college comes up trumps for you.
Having my milk before bed time - Z is as sorted as she can be. Poor love came on at bed time so she's going to have to contend with that whilst away; I know she'll be fine but it's easier without having to think about all that isn't it. Bless her. We've set our alarm for 5.45 as have to leave the house by 7.00 tomorrow morning and she's not the quickest in the morning plus will have to take S in his PJs which he thinks is a great idea!!
Night all xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
