Honestly, I think its worth it, even if its only every other month - all that big stuff - 9 toilet rolls, a big box of dishwasher tabs, a dozen packets of pasta, kilos of frozen veg, it really mounts up, its nothing that you need to personally choose, so why not make them do all the faffing? For £1, its really worth it, I think, even at my income level :) an awful lot of time and energy are saved.

Just read your diary as you've been contributing to mine although I don't usually read anything mentioning "spreadsheet" in the title, for it usually means the author is far too organised ... ;)

Hope everything goes well tomorrow. :)
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

I would like to say it's because i leave everything to last minute but I always seem to have loads to do, OH contribution to Xmas was buy me some flowers, bless him, it was a lovely thought

DD is going off on one by text :mad: After an hour of her ranting I have had to tell her to stop it, all I want to do is smack her *rse, welcome to the real world and to be honest (now for my rant) You all didn't give cr*p about how I felt all these years over my job, so man up......................but of course like a lovely mummy I am placating her with soft platitudes which will not be good enough

  • Hi Sue

I haven't got a diary (or a mortgage any more - paid off in 2009 - we are old gits) but I do enjoy reading some of them.

Just read yours and you have had a lot to contend with but I am sure you will achieve your goals. Best of luck.

You said you received a parking ticket when you went to London. Hope you haven't paid it yet. If it was a council ticket, get yourself over to https://www.pepipoo.com who specialise in challenging unfair council tickets. You will to sign up and post up scans of both sides of your ticket. If it was a private ticket (i.e. speculative invoice), go to the parking ticket sub-forum in the Motoring section of MSE. Read the "NEWBIE" sticky a the top of the forum first and then start a thread if necessary. Nearly all unfair tickets can be overturned with the correct appeal.

    Hope that helps.
