Thanks DollyDee, it is a council ticket and to be fair he was on double yellow, albeit on a tiny dead end side street, my only beef is that the public car park (20 metres away) the bollards were erected to prevent entry.
Not used to that in the wilds of Lincolnshire, yes car parks shut but at about 11pm, this was shut at 6.30pmDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
Well I'm no expert but from reading Pepipoo, council paperwork has to be absolutely spot on and very often isn't. Lots of people get tickets overturned on technicalities. Might be worth having a quick read. Mind you, if it isn't for that much (council usually less than private) and as you have such a lot going on, it would be understandable to pay the reduced rate. Not very MSE advice.

Day 14
Well I have finally ran out of steam and awaiting my third wind, DD really took it out of me yesterday and OH got involved and started going on about how she had just move out and she shouldn't haveshe is 24
DD was devastated yesterday over the informal meeting, turns out it was over stuff from when she first started (3 months ago) and no specific details could be given. Personally I think the super that is leaving stuck the knife in because the head of dept only told her they were pleased with her work 3 weeks ago...............she was told she was too critical!!!! DD really needs to learn office politics, bless her. Hopefully when this woman leaves things will improve as I have had a sneaky suspicion for a long time that she puts the knife in.
Anyway in true grit style she applied for 2 training contracts last night.
As for me I have last minute bits to get, take bl**dy alarm clock back (not good enough) Make my N*xt order tonight, go get our joint pressie, pay some bills, put up tree :T:T:T
I am hopefully on course to make an OP in early Jan and am looking forward to making my pledge on the MFW 2016 thread. Mind you I have developed a wheel wobble so will have to organise my garage to look at it :mad::mad:Debt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
There really is a lot, isn't there Sue
well, you're looking after all the family issues on your own
Thats great advice from DollyDee - as far as I know with *private* tickets, they have the right to charge you, but they don't have the right to enforce their charge, in other words, you can completely ignore the private one
Hope you'll be able to start winding down soon - the tree is always a good one for that2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Only got few bits left to do now.
Next VIP sale was a load off **** not one item in the sale and my list was for 8 things. All the sale stuff on homeward was old summer stuff they had left over. So contemplating getting the light fitments at full price as they are very unique lol not MSE I knowDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
But light fittings are really important - such a focus to a room, you need to *like* them - go for it, its worth it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

For anyone reading who does get a private parking ticket, the advice is no longer to ignore, not since October 2012 when POFA came in. They can now go after the registered keeper.
Should you get a ticket please read the NEWBIES thread in the Parking Ticket sub-forum on MSE and follow the advice.
My son's private parking tickets (PCN's) is how I found this site!
Merry Xmas
