Your DD is on a steep learning curve - but you need to help yourself now, by stepping back a bit - I really like the sound of what you did, teaching her about office politics, good for you.

You're doing fine - I know you don't feel it, but parents are sort of supposed to be the baddies, why else would people leave the nest? You're doing great :)

Yeah she did stay to 24 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I got so much stick about how "I need to let her go"................errrrrrr case of other way round, the speech must have sunk in as she has paid a political card today, so lets hope it pays off. To be fair she is the product of my teachings, smart, resilient and determined would sum her up and it's not always easy for others to cope with, oh and brutally honest :D:D

    Day 21

Just done my banking (since 23rd) on my spreadsheet and I was dreading it, I hate not doing it. Don't get me wrong I check online every day sometimes twice but have not been able to update workings, partly due to an aging laptop at home and the other part because OH would want to know what I am doing and he is so 3rd degree about everything

Anyway it turns out not too bad, apart from a few minor extras I kept on track, which is a major milestone as usually at this point I am shuffling like crazy to find money for bills :mad::mad:

But not today, still have to find out how much car is but am thinking £200-£250  and hopefully it will be less.

Just hit local Mr M's for some cheapies and boy are they stingy, will do a month meal plan later to try and cut costs........................................I so want another freezer but can't quite figure out where the damned thing will live:(

    Hello SueP19,

Well done for staying on track, that's great.

Hope the car expense is less than expected.

I too would love more freezer space, don't think it's going to happen for me though.

    Day 23

Well I finished with my craft item for a collector today, took some doing because I was at work all day yesterday but I did it.

Mind you have to think of the overtime.

OH still unwell from stomach bug so we have loads of stuff still left, bang goes weight loss again till that is gone. Did I tell you I lost 6 stone in the past and this year as I had crept up to 18+ again I have lost 3 stone, odd so many many years being obese I struggled to cope with being thin, people treated me differently. I was so used to being treated like a fat lazy thick blonde that peoples unkind remarks to my weight loss was hard to understand. They say never judge a book by it's cover and this is sooooo true. I would pass windows and stop not sure who the person looking at me was. I realised I was the same me, it was other people who saw me differently, this time I have taken it slower, let my self adjust gradually.

I did today make a sort off "to do" list for 2016 not long but it's a start.

I hate new years eve, every year I look back and think surely the next year can't be as bad as last and somehow it is. This time last year I realised that I was £14,000 short for DD course, during that time I had panic attack after panic attack. I remember Christmas day looking at my family and thinking they would so much better off with another person as their wife and mother. I had let them down so badly. During the following 6 months I tried for a loan and couldnt get one, had the bailiffs over council tax, a month later they slammed me for this years too, I got a week away from a repossession hearing and got a CCJ for my water, before the second half of the bill was due. Killed my car and worst of all our dear dog who was very ill but recovered died unexpectedly

Plus my dear DD left home

These last few months I have paid the mortgage arrears off, paid the CCJ, paid my boss back for the council tax, paid my dear garage for the replacement car, paid for xmas and I have money that I had saved in the bank for the first time in 27 years of marriage.

So sat here watching Narnia and a tear in my eye my faith in magical happenings is slowly being restored xxxx

    Happy new year Sue

Ps I learnt about electric, coving and tiling too lolol

  • Past times have been extreme for you, but just remember you survived, and are in a much better place today:).

Give yourself a pat on the back:A as lots will admire you for taking on all the responsibility yourself.

Onwards and upwards or low-wards (is that a word:)) if speaking of your mortgage.:D

Happy, Healthy New Year to all in the Sue household.
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's
