Life is sent to try but you're a do'er so I know you can. I have started a penny challenge save 1p on first 2p on 2nd and so on till 31st December and the total comes to about £677 I think xxxDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0

I read about that challenge and someone mentioned it got a bit expensive for December, which would be for me, so they are doing a month at a time, then when the next month comes round they start at 1p again, if I remember right it comes to about £56 (can't be bothered working it out just now).Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190

Hi Sue
Meal plan for a month!!! That's great. I used to do that - tend to do just a week at a time at the mo (since we moved) - really should try and get one done till the end of the month.
It really does make a difference.
Happy Friday.

I'm hoping so, I usually do a week without thinking and it's not really helped but to know how many packs of cheese you need is handyJust bought 4xYS 350g mature cheese for £1.25 each and 4xYS beef sausages for 67p each :j:j:j:j I would have bought more but freezer is fulllllllll to the brim

Yeah I agree the last week comes to £25.41 So I did a little spreadsheet with all the numbers on and intend to save the larger amounts through the year, so tomorrow £3.66 instead of 9p:D:D
OH is paid weekly so I can pre-pay the last 52 days during the year:D:D:D:D But £56 is a nice sale handbag amount next Christmas

Day 32
Not a bad start to the day picked up 4 pack of sausages (I now have 10 packs altogether so that Feb sorted) and 4 packs of cheese, total saving of £11.32
Did some Tilly Tidy and received my first little bit of interest 6p on that new account :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Odd as the EF Fund which has more than £300 in has had no interest :mad::mad:
I have also completed all my savings for this month in terms of Christmas Fund 2016, Pet Fund, etc I thought if I take care of those first as soon as I could then they won't clutter the rest of the month.
To be honest it's all a bit trial and error for me at the moment, I have always had a problem finding what works for me and boy have I tried over the years
Forgot to get some savings stamps from Mr M this am so will have to trot back in there, have £3 cash so that's alright.
Weekend is looming and I wish I could say I was doing something daring/exciting/amazing but I have craft items to finish for a shop
OH has now decided that when he finishes OT he will tackle DD old bedroom :eek::eek::eek::eek: Er no MR. I have it all planned and the stuff ready, trouble is I am a bit of a slowly slowly catchy monkey and he is a Road Runner. So I can see him not doing it to MY standards............trouble is I am sure I can't find time to tackle it before his hours drop, let hope the sugar factory stays open longer :j:j:j

I tried with a spreadsheet and just couldn't get it to work so thought a diary might help and it looks to be working. I highlight the items I have then I know what I don't.
This am in Mr Ms I got months supply of toilet rolls and a couple of other things xxDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0
