It's under the Millie's Cookies link and it has become my go to recipe for cookies
I'm not sure how to link to it but it should definitely be in the recipe index.

Found the recipe thank you. You said you freeze half the mixture, do you just defrost and cook as per the instructions?Grocery Challenge 2024

Mr T delivery just arrived - I was ruthless and sent back all the herbs. They were on a 3for2 and although I would have used the other 2, the 1 I needed for a recipe was short dated tomorrow and the meal plan doesn't need it until Saturday.
Also returned substitute full far rather than low fat feta. Took me to below the £40 mark.
Had a v. small shop £2.39 yesterday and then ruthlessly pruned the order when I got home. A lot of stuff I can get as I go past, so its only the heavy stuff I need. Next order already booked, but for 2 weeks time (just before the end of the month to capture dog food offer) I will see how the budget is doing.
I previously have had a delivery a week. I hope this can last. The planning takes time, but it is rewarding.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Afternoon Diary,
Mr T's literally just left from delivering my shopping. Its all put away, fridge is now bursting!!
Spent
£80 - 5th Jan - Mr T (£79.75 + 25p OP to CC)
£7 - 6th Jan - Mr A
£9.40 - 9th Jan - local butchers
£4.49 - 9th Jan - Mr T's
£8.98 - 10th Jan - Mr T's
£41.19 - 12th Jan - Mr T's (+£37 for DD's party food)
Budgeted for next 2 weeks
£50 - 19th Jan - Mr T or Mr A
£50 - 26th Jan - Mr T or Mr A
£28 - butchers and farmshop as and when
£20 - Top ups
So I've decided not to include the £37 for DD's party food as I think this should come out of the birthday budgets. Just making a note of it for ref. Ive split the £18 between the other weeks and will see how I go on.
I love it when you get good subs! Ordered 1 nakd bar to try and they sent me a box of 4. I had best like them now ha!!!
Best get on with the tea! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Just popping on to report two NSDs (yesterday and today). Back at work on Monday so don't have as much time to update through the day... plus side being that I also don't have time to go out and spend money (I work from home
).
Couldn't make the Shepherd's Pie-tatoes tonight as planned, as non of my potatoes were big enough to hold the fillingSo regular Quorn shepherd's pie for us tonight... am certainly not complaining as it will be delish!
I haven't had chance to go back through and read everyone's posts, I'll do that later... Well done to all those still on track and to everyone who might not hit target, don't worry... you have probably still spent way less than if you hadn't been hereDebt Free Journey started 21.05.20170 -

That's what I do and it's worked so far. I only froze half the mixture as I had one oven shelf and it wasn't on for very long, else I would bake the lot in one go. And probably eaten quite a few too!
A lovely NSD today so that's made me smile. I'm getting the hang of it again now. The bones from the chicken thighs have once more made stock for soup later this week. Tonight's tea is a curry (DH request) and I'll switch the sweet and sour later in the week.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

£4.50 in Mr T on shampoo, conditioner and milk and £18 in the land of ice on 6 RM and 16 free yogurts:eek::j They are the muller greek style fat free ones and you get 8 free for every 3 meals bought.
I have £68.30 left to last 16 days including 2 weekends when I normally shop. I set a low budget this month as a bit of a challenge and it is getting very tight. I need to do a meal plan to use up the stores but also try and keep DH on plan, looks like it might end up being 2 different meals each night.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Nsd again, but easily done when I'm at work as I'm too busy to see a shop let alone stop at it at the moment. Same can be said for at home really - plus we live out in the sticks and there's nowhere to spend any money in the woods! Hehe.
Just been through the meal plan to check nothing will be wasted by the end of the week.
Feeling good for our 17nsds/20.
Keep it up everyone! It's already the 12th!0 -

Sausage casserole and HM bread for dinner tonight, mushroom risotto tomorrow night - we,re sticking to the meal plan so farNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
