Going to do an online shop this morning as we will need fresh fruit, veg and dairy. First off though I'm going to do a meal plan for the week so that I don't end up buying more than I need.Or ping them for a few seconds and add cream serve like hot fudge cake.
Thank you for this idea, the children liked it more after it came out of the microwave2016 Grocery Challenge January: £296.20/£300 February: £262.05/£3000 -
Morning all. Meal plan made, shopping list done. I am very happy with my budget of £43.31 for last week. Just had news that OH may be home from hospital today(the doctors said up to 3 weeks in and its not been a week yet so I am very excited) I need to get baking, as OH loves coconut cake. Just waiting for the chimney sweep to arrive and I can get on with my day. Loaf in the breadmaker already!
I will post meal plan later! Now Mrs FrugalinShropshire:T Proud to be mortgage and debt free:j0 -
Updated signature today to show the last few days' spending. I did a T grocery shop, then after work I stopped off for petrol and my brain got taken over by aliens so I bought a sandwich and two chocolate bars. I was nearly home too.
Really annoying because I'm trying to lose weight as well as save money. I need to think of something I can get ready before work to eat as soon as I get in, and make sure I do it.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200

Had a NSD yesterday, again helped by the terrible weather - hail stones and high winds so didn't leave the house! Will need to pick up some milk later today and will update my signature then xGC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

Reporting in - £108.64/£200 spent, and a large Mr T delivery tomorrow (going to try and whittle it down with YS tonight.)
A lot of that £27.22 has been dog food. We got down to the emergency corner shop at dinner time stage so then picked up a couple of blocks. But more on order for tomorrow.
Managed NOT to spend at Co-op this morning. Waiting for bus, need large eggs for baking (I baked a marmalade loaf cake yesterday for a meeting tonight. It's now marmalade pudding!) Eggs 29p each as opposed to 21p in Mr T. The meeting can go without.
Did have emergency trip to Co-op yesterday for baking powder - I was half way through the breakfast pancake recipe, so didn't really have a choice.
The area I need to cut back is Pepsi £4 Co-op spend, and £8 on chocolate for baking and a magazine. I need to stop cooking for everybody. The problem is I love baking but try not to eat the stuff myself. DH gets treated as a guinea pig for new recipes.
Oh well. Off to cull Mr T order and put together 'flexible' list for my zip in shop this evening (I don't drive so need the delivery for heavy stuff, but I'll be waiting for the bus tonight for 30mins or so)
Have a good day all. Sorry for the ramble.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I have lost it a bit with the challenge and now only have £27 left - due to spending on a takeaway and a couple of lunches from Greggs. Must do better. Have dinner prepped for today which will do over 2 nights. To try and salvage things I will be using up food from cupboards and freezer before buying any more food.
That said I may take a trip to Mr T tonight to see if any reduced bread can go in freezer.0
