I have a rather poorly Dot.. she fell asleep on the sofa this evening.. unheard of!! It looks like she has my evil cold
It is pretty gruesome!
I've just been invited to a high school reunion.. fluff that... I hated everyone when I was at school I don't want to spend time with them now!! Amusing though because it is the pub where my daughter works and on a Saturday night too so will be utterly rammed.. I might give her a heads up and tell her to book a jollyday because you know CF will go brown nosing so it can !!!!! about me.. piece of sh**. (I've been plotting its demise again this evening!)
Tomorrow.. more knitting and some wrapping.. no school runs though I can barely walk about in the house!
Must get some washing done too.. and book appointment.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
[STRIKE]Evening[/STRIKE] Hello silly o'clock all :rotfl:
I'm waiting on the WM & TD to finish and my phone to charge again. There's a software update again which explains why my battery is draining so fast. So I thought I'd catch up here while I wait.Nicki you'll have to make sure you put a photo of your window up as I'd love to see it and I'm sure others would too! Do you do Avon? I used to ages ago but our manager was carp and kept on assigning others onto my patch or sent me onto other people's patches so didn't work out for me - plus I started typing job which suited me better.cyclingyorkie wrote: »I have a fit note which means I can have a phased return to work.
I've done my mupp3ts picture. It took me 5 hours in total as I kept having to take breaks to rest my back or the sun hit the horrible angle where it blinds me and washes out all the lines so I can't see what I'm doing. It only lasts about 30 mins around lunch time so I enjoyed a quiet lunch instead. I've also managed to get 3 loads of washing done. I'll do the rest tomorrow when I get back.
Managed to do all the deliveries this evening in 2 trips as I was running late, so when DD got home from her club I packed her a bag of stuff as well. Then I did the last trip out on my own while she washed up
If I'd gone on my own it would probably have taken me 4 trips! I have to run to school tomorrow with their deliveries, 1 tomorrow night, 1 Thursday night, 1 Friday night and then I'm unofficially done for the rest of the year. I'll have admin to do (and an order for me to put in on the 15th, then deal with the delivery on the 21st) but I am really looking forward to having time off as it feels like I've done nothing else since September as I had to work half term as well this year.
I got back, read for a while, chased DD down the bed and put washing on. Since my phone was taking so long to charge again I also decided to tidy up the livingroom and mop the floor in there and the kitchen. Its not perfect but I think I have 90% of the hair balls up now, its just the ones hiding under the sofa & the desk drawers who escaped. I've also S&S the kitchen. The dog meanwhile is sulking
Work:
[STRIKE] Deliver orders[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] Sort change bags for later in the week (after tonights deliveries)[/STRIKE]
House:
Finish window as much as possible - it needs something, but I'm not sure what just yet. I'll see how it looks after I've done the Merry Christmas.
[STRIKE] Wash up[/STRIKE]
Ironing (DD needs blouses for school)
Play with the dog lots while working
Washing - 3 down!
[STRIKE] Finances[/STRIKE]
So my list for tomorrow is like this:
Wednesday:
Deliveries to school
Mr A shop
Washing
Wash up
Window - Merry Christmas then try to work out what else it needs.
PM delivery
Right, the TD has finished so it's time for me to head to bed. By the time I've put stuff away my phone should be charged
:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
An unexpected task for me this morning. Woke up to an email from DD with printing to do for her scouts tonight so thought I'd get it out of the way.
Will shortly take a look at the list.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Oh dear, DH has man-flu and is currently coughing up his guts. I think the cold and damp has got to him. He's actually taking a day off work, which is very rare, so he must feel ill
On the plus side, I can stick him in the playroom with Tiny and make inroads with cataloguing damaged things today. Small is off on their pantomime trip with school today, so it's a good opportunity to get on for me. Although I have blasted the shower plug, it's draining v e r y slowly, so pretty sure there's a load of sand on the pipes.
Good news is the Underwriters have given the go ahead for all preliminary works on the house, so should soon have the clean-up team in and some big-boy dehumidifiers in to dry the house out. Should only take about a hundred years...0 -
Morning all
Not getting very far with anything this week but have hit my step count 2 days running which I feel better for. Walking with a friend this morning, after taking DS2 to the station and then paid stuff.
Sorry to hear of so much dog trouble, the barking and black types.
Mrs MP sorrying to think what could have been
I'll check back in later. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Strange shiny yellow glowy thing in the sky today so I'm going to blitz the laundry mountain.. OH can bring towels down for me when he gets back.
I'm going to see if I can manage to wash my hair today.. its not been washed for 2 weeks because I coughed my stomach contents into the bath every time I lean over.. but the cough is much better I think so it may be ok!! ... Going shopping with my mother tomorrow.. so lots of walking no doubt.. but I don't want to be walking about with wet hair given how awful I've felt lately.. Hopefully the Christmas holibobs will give us all time to diffuse this germ bomb!

Marvellous news, CY. I'm so pleased for you.
Two rooms to turn around today, and the shower room needs a bit of a doing.
Thank you for your suggestions about the dog attacks. I've tried talking to the owner because the aggression is increasing, and this has been going on for five years. Most of my dogs have been on the receiving end of her dog's attentions but it's like trying to reason with lard. I've changed all of the dog walks I do with Kelpie so that they will not come into contact again and written up an account of the latest incident. The owner now seems to think that ignoring the behaviour when it occurs and taking the dog to some kind of retraining will change the behaviour judging by her reactions, so what is going to happen eventually is inevitable; I just don't want to be anywhere near it when it does. I feel sorry for the dog, really, but it's big, strong and out of control. Bad mix.
*Black dog be gone* vibes heading your way Narco, and everyone else who's had a visit from the beast lately, on a really sticky stick.Better is good enough.0 -
Sending Whiz my Whippet to you carrying a stick - the black dog has to chase Whiz to get to the stick and, believe you me, my Whiz is fast so he'll be gone ages. Take care x
Thanks. I adore whippets, just throw the stick for BD and I'll sit and cuddle Whiz..........
I'm feeling a lot better today; it is such a poorly-recognised association with food intolerance and with me, it is the wheat that inevitably does it (especially if stressed/busy). I've got a number of other pesky intolerances and they all have different signs (in fact I don't even know what some of them do - they were just tested for and on "my banned list"). You'd think I would be more sensible as I know what might happen......however my willpower when on holiday and faced with the chance of a chocolate and mint slice.......somehow was lacking.
Sunny but cold here, so there is one load of washing on the line and another in the machine.
Lots of bits and pieces to get done before I go to uni.
Good news on the insurance DizzyimpRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
