    Morning!

Get well soon vibes all round I think!

Sat here in pj bottoms as got a bit wet on school run... planning my day, coffee in hand :)

I need to do a bit of shopping and a lot of tidying. Once my legs warm up. WM is on so ill sort my list while that finishes then I'll get them hung up and be on my way.

Few things to put in / get down from loft. Need to strip my bed - would seem some people had a midnight feast while I was in Scotland - ginger biscuits were clearly involved...

I'm also going to trim the DR up a bit, and I have to be back k at school before 2 for DD concert - granny suggested I take some tissues

    Better crack on!

  • Thanks for all your kind comments. We had a lovely meal at the express of Pizza.

Ready for Christmas? Cue the hysterical laughter. My cards are 3/4 finished and I posted the Flylady ones yesterday.

Apart from that my living room looks like a parcel depot. It is a humongous tip. Sigh....

Yesterday I stripped our bed and washed the bedding. I forgot to bring it in last night and it poured overnight. It is currently spinning in the machine...

Hope everyone has a productive day...

If talking to the owner hasn't worked you need a plan B. Have you photographed the injuries?

Have you taken Kelpie to the vet? I know it's expensive, but it might help to have an independent 3rd party see the injuries.

Have you reported the incidents to the police? Sadly you may have to in order to get something done. Sadly your dog may not be the only one to be affected.

Today is DD2's 22nd birthday. We are heading out for a celebration family meal tonight. Then home to hopefully catch most of the Apprentice.

As far as I can see Kelpie wasn't actually injured but the attacker is more aggresive each time. The owner is in denial but the attacks are always when the attacker is off the lead and Kelpie is on the lead. There are several dogs that are kept on a very, very tight lead for good reason on the Hoe and eventually the attacker will go for one of them, or take on a much smaller dog and get carried away. Watching a dog effectively being trained to believe that attacking other dogs is fine is the problem, and as I said, it's been going on for five years. Kelpie's been the target three times - I've only had him seven months. After the latest incident he won't let any other dogs near him and I don't blame him. The owner has now told me the reason her dog attacks mine is that I don't like her dog so it's my fault!

Happy belated birthday to your DD and I hope she and you all had a lovely, lovely time.

    Hi everyone.

Back home - phew - busy couple of days but lots achieved, including officially putting my request in for VR. Got some great advice from a couple of managers (I hope!) and had a nice meal out with people from our department.

Sorry to hear about the doggie trouble honey bear but it's lovley to see you posting again xxx

Thank you, Bossy. I was trying to keep up with Fred for a couple of weeks and just couldn't, but I noticed that you had the threat of redundancy hanging over you. I hope you're okay with what's happening, and that your company does the right thing, either way.

(((Big hugs))) for Dancemum's DS2, although I suspect he prefers virtual ones, Dancemum for being a wonderful mother, and *grot be gone* vibes for Pigpen's Dot.

Superking, double and shower room all sparkly after yesterday's attentions so I'm going to concentrate my energies on the top layer which is kneedeep in Kelpie fluff and then I'm going to reorganise the freezer so OH can't complain he can't find anything as an excuse to get out of cooking when it's his turn. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all

No paid stuff today, had so much planned and I'm not well. Going to stay in bed all day and maybe write a few Christmas cards but that is all.

Lack of flying starting to show but hopefully I can play catchup on the weekend.

Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • Yay. My order arrived - now to find some wrapping paper for my secret santa and get to the post office. Also have to start writing cards.

House smells lovely - roasting the vegetabes and chicken wings to make gravy. Then the stuffing rolls to prep this evening to go in the freezer. I'm running out of space already. AGGGGHHHH.

Gym first. Then back to walk Oz before trip to town - I left one of my gorgeous sheepskin gloves at the bus stop before I went on holiday and have been waiting until I can use a voucher to get some money back at Mr Lewis to buy a new pair. Meeting tonight so back late for stuffing prep and dinner. Busy Busy Busy.

I am OK thanks, I've formally requested redundancy. They have a duty to explore all redeployment options, which, being the largest UK bank and very tightly regulated, they will do. However, there just aren't the jobs at my grade. General thoughts are that I should be successful at getting my exit, and the severance terms won't be quibbled over. So it's a bit of a waiting game now. Whatever happens I won't be with my current team beyond the end of Feb.

Bits of shopping sorted, few last minute gifts purchased. Dining room almost sorted.

Might take a few bits of tat to the tip tomorrow...

Dining room and living rooms tidied, vacced and dusted. The elves have returned from their jobs at the North Pole, clad in knitted dolly clothes :D

WM has been on again, and is now on with an empty hot wash with soda crystals and vinegar.

Garage looking a bit worse for wear but tbh there are 3 brollies up in there - probably dry now so I'll put those away after my cuppa.

Then I'm going to see DD in her little concert :A aww.

Need to ask DS if he wants to come join in the xmas ballet class on Saturday or whether he would rather stay home. FIL called earlier saying he will come over and play trains if he'd rather do that. Then he's taking the kiddies over to theirs for the night. I'm going out with the dance mums :)

Could do with a nap really... Lol.
