    Evening all :hello:

Sending lots of big squishy hugs and gws vibes to those needing them :D

Done a fair bit today and catching up finally !

Have posted my fly-cards and secret Santa. Posted B card for DSD for her birthday on Sunday. My DS is safely in South Africa and staying with a friend for a few days before going travelling - we were chatting on what's app today :)

This time of the year is strange when your family is all left home and miles away. I do miss all the buying, planning, wrapping and decorating but there you go - life moves on and changes have to happen.

I still have local cards to finish writing and delivering. I have done an order from Mr T for Saturday and will do the one for Christmas week next week (I have booked a slot already ;) )

    Still to do :-
    Clean the oven and hob..
Clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best
Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it

    Friday - Let's play catchy-up
    S&S the kitchen and bathroom
Catch up on the floor mopping/vacuuming
Spend 15 minutes on your filing
    Extras
Wipe down ALL the paintwork you keep putting off
Choose a manky kitchen cupboard and make it shine.. the inside.. NOT the outside!
    Christmas Extras
Post all the cards you need to post. Last posting dates are drawing very close.
Write and send the remaining christmas cards!!

Sticks and spoons for everyone needing some

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday

  • Morning everyone

Natty, Pigpen and others I really hope you do get rid of these lurgies soon. My DH has a cold every Christmas and it's just so unfair.

Paid stuff this morning, not enjoying it at all at the moment but its part time, its close to home and it pays well so I just have to knuckle down and get on with it.

I am making a list of things to do in town, cheques to bank, prescriptions to order etc. Then bedrooms to do this aft, couple of presents to wrap and deliver later.

Hoping DH and the kids will go to a local Christmas tree festival tomorrow, its usually really good and it would be nice to do something Christmassy together.

Right better get a shower and wake DS up. Have a good Friday everyone x

Notice Valli hasn't posted for a few days since saying she didn't feel well. Hope you are ok Valli and starting to feel better, and AF is a getting ready to leave as it was her bothering you.

    Valli hope you are ok

    Aww thank you *mwah*

I'm MUCH better - but super-busy. Was at work till gone 6:30 last night wrapping pots of hyacinths in cellophane for the Xmas fair, as our 'Green Gang' planted them. And pricing them...we have Delft Blue, Delft Pink, White Pearl and City of Haarlem (yellow) - well that's how the plant label spellings SHOULD have looked :rotfl: Yesterday I worked in the morning too *kerching* as there were observations - cue four stressed colleagues as these were repeat obs. as last time the boss was not pleased. Is now though. I'm about to prep the floats for the Christmas fair as I was too tired last night, after tea, and sort out reindeer names as original sorter off sick:o She was supposed to help me wrap them. too *sigh* Christmas fair is tonight:eek:

But I have just ordered a Thorntons Hamper using the MSE25 code and through Quidco. Wooty wooty woot woot:rotfl:

ohh - just remembered I HAVE done some flying. I have put up two pairs of curtains (properly and one of my bedroom curtains is properly up, too. Other just needs the 'end' screwing on rail). And I have done 2 loads of washing. They are on the line!

J home last night and within 20 minutes we had an argument with him storming out of the room - because I told him I had contacted the leader of the Cubs group and said S won't be going any more (he just doesn't enjoy it and starts worrying about it on the Monday before the Thursday when he'd be going). I told J I wasn't going to send him any more because it's basically me who cops it and why would you send an 8yo to something he doesn't want to do? Anyhow, all calmed down, we went to Z's carol concert which was lovely and I was so proud of her, back, kids to bed, I asked for a cheque to settle up o/s subs and wham, off we go again. He just can't relinquish control and seems to have zero respect for me. He said he's going to talk to the leader (to try to get him back in), I said no and ended up with me leaving the room. !!!!!! all I want is a cheque and for my son to be happy. Another row at bed time resulting in me taking a sedative to keep myself safe. Not looking good. This morning got a cheque but I have to jump through hoops of fire to do it and feel so awful about myself, loads of black thoughts and BD breathing down my neck. He's off now to an all day meeting and won't be home til late and I'm dreading the weekend. Great.

Got a load in the WM, breakfast dishes put away, Whiz walked and now going to go and do S's bedroom windows which are not in good order. May well do ironing too. Probably order a couple of stocking fillers etc online and then going to sit and knit.

Sorry to hear about lurgies still lingering and nasty coughs. Have a good day all and sorry to whinge.
