Healing vibes for you everyone feeling under the weather, particularly, Dusty, Valli and Natty.
Mumto2, when I couldn't keep up with Fred I was aware that you were on the cusp of asserting your position in your relationship, and meant to say good on you for doing so but I was just too busy to post. It's tough to begin with but it does get much easier, it won't necessarily bring you everything you want but it will make you feel like a proper grown up woman.well.. my wash pile just reduced by 4 binbags... some lazy dirty tramp put a mountain of washing in my kitchen covered in cat crap... so.. I've just binned the whole lot.. I may have rage today hahaha... bit sad as there were some of Pixies new bits and bits belonging to the 3 littlies but never mind..
Sorry about the good stuff that got binned, but way to go Piggers!
Occasional lodger has left her suitcase so I'm not sure if she's back tonight.Maybe she just forgot it.
I'm going to have to do dusting today. Booooooooorrrrrrrrrrriiiiinngggg.Better is good enough.0 -
Hello ladies
Do you mind if I join in? I read the thread daily and cheer you all on / dish out virtual hugs as appropriate. I spend a lot of my time on the MFW board reading and keeping up to my diary, but read a lot on OS.
I have been married to DH for five years, and have two tiddlers, DD 3 and DS nearly 2. I work from home running my own small business, having given up my "big job" in the rat race when I had kids. I live oop norf
I love cooking, but don't get as much time to do it as I would like (DS is really in the throes of terrible twos and not very easily occupied playing by himself so he takes up a lot of time). I love keeping our home nice, and to earn some extra cash to help our mortgage free quest we rent out a spare room on Air BnB a lot. We have a new guest arriving tonight for 8 days.
Mumof2 - sending big hugs your way, you have been very brave standing your ground.
I hope all of the poorlies feel better much soon, we have all been struck down by this dreaded cough/cold/phlegm superbug that is doing the rounds.
Take care all, ATB xxMFW

Thank you all so much for all the hugs and advice - just can't believe I went through all this pain and effort explaining how I felt just one week ago so it obviously didn't make much of an impact did it. Head is spinning with it all now.
Just going to grab a cuppa and attack S's room; it's slowly morphing from a hovel into something slightly respectable. Then going to knit until I have to get S from school so just over 2 hours.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

But on the bright side I can take some reading for the course that starts in January.
We've got blue sky/rain intersperesed. I've got wet twice! But at least it feels like the sun has actually risen this morning. The past couple of days it's been so dark it's felt like dusk permanently.
OOOOOh. What course is this? Work related or personal interest? Don't overdo it!Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

It's a course I have done for the last few years - we read 7 prize winning books and discuss them:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Ooh found my flying mojo.
Been having a tidy in DHs office (my !!!! is what is making half the mesws in there) and had a bit of a dust and window clean (well the one I can get too, desk obscurs the big bay).
Cleaned, hall, family room and LR windows - will do kitchen too)
Going to have a cuppa in a minute and a little sit down and flick through some magazines. Then back to the DR, have decided I will be trying the desk upstairs and I can't get it into DH's office where I wanted to put it.or maybe I could move one of the filing/book cupboards into DS1's old room and put desk in DH's office. too much/too heavy to try one then the other easily so need to think this through carefully.
ATB welcome aboard, thanks for sharing a bio, post often so we get to know you.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Big sticks for BD and anti-germ vibes for all suffering.
I've been reasonably pleased with today, and there are still more hours left:
- put one load washing on, now on maiden
- decided would be better catching up on my own list than going to gym. In my defence, I went ice skating last night and it was especially good to see Mr N whizzing round as exactly a year ago he was looking very grim indeed awaiting surgery.
- finished and emailed a report
- did more cards and posted a range of cards and a parcel (wink wink)
- did 2hrs with a student
- folded a pile of clean clothes
- dropped in to pick up a couple of things from local shop
- did battle with a grotty sink
- jumped on line to cancel milk
- caught up with emails
Hm, that doesn't sound such a long list as I thought! Oh well, hopefully it will be added to as we are out tomorrow at a travel show then a wander round Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Narco did you go ice skating at the GC near you? If so is it good?
Very pleased with my progress today. Going to sort out another little pile next. There is more to do of course but I feel inspired to carry on over the coming week now I've made a start.
Leaving desk where it is for now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
