How do I find out IP address and other things??

when you go to http://www.routerlogin.com what does it say for the model number? (at the very top of the page)

I take it if I do not go through the 'Setup' of the router, then I cannot get the WEP key for my other wireless PC?

what can you see textwise? It should say the model number somewhere, or give an indication of which router it is

eg is says wgr614 at the very top here

Ah, I get you now. This is the screen that comes up when i insert the installation disk.

It says WGR614 v7.

Then it's asking me to enter the static IP details.

ok, that is def the correct router for cable

There should be a wizard on that screen to autodetect settings, provided that the wan port is plugged into your cable modem

This is all I am getting, it won't let me move on until I have entered the details. I entered the bottom details from what the Virgin media lady told me.
