Things are improving in that he's wearing the mask for longer, sometimes all night, but tbh I've not noticed any real change in things generally. He still gets very tired and doesn't have any extra noticable energy.
We need to wait until he goes back to the hospital to see what they make of his progress, but I feel a little disappointed at the moment that this doesn't seem to have been the miracle cure that we were hoping for."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Brenda had her MOT yesterday, & everything is tickety-boo for another 12 months.
As to the flu bug thingie, apparently there has been a lot of people suffering & it can go on for months:-( It meant that we didn't even get a demerit, so I celebrated with a cup of rosehip tea & just one cheese straw in the League of Friends while Brenda went to get pampered!
Hope you are getting on better with your new housemates....
Just one more thing----I was told to put Brenda on the floor to help the air flow remain constant. Thought I'd pass it on cuz I was using the bedside cabinet for the first few weeks......well--you do don't you....Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Glad it went well at the clinic for you BigMummaF hope the sniffles are better it's a horrible time of year for it.
mrcow cant remember exactly what i was told but the sleepclinic nurse explained because my sleep had been so bad for so long I had built up a large sleep debt as she called it and it will take a while for an improvement to be felt, and it is gradual. Hopefully soon your OH will feel better I know I had a sort of lightbulb moment 1 evening when I realised I hadn't spent the whole day yawning, that's when I knew how much good CPAP was doing.
I'd fight whoever tried to take Darth from me now:rotfl: .
Hope your all doing ok it's been a looong weekend without MSE.Booo!!!0 -
Yup.....That's how it gets us all! I know my  was very much like someone having to explain things over & over & over again until aaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooohhh yyyyyyeeeeeaaaaaahhhh & I felt like :wall: because of all the times I thought I was doing it wrong!!!
As for the bug, I think it may have been me who infected mse......I was laid up all weekend meself:o But tonight, I resume my friendship with Brenda!

Hi everyone.
We seem to be getting on really well with the machine. Boyfriend still can't drive, but he's learning to sleep with it and we are getting there slowly but surely."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

I'm very lucky with my Sleep Clinic....if there's a problem I can just pop in & the nurse will see me.
For those of you who don't have the humidifier, please see if you can get hold of one; it will make such a difference that you really need to experience to believe. My machine has the reservoir built into it--- previously it was an 'add-on'---that you fill with either boiled, bottled or filtered water.
Apparently some folk make hose covers to keep the air warm this time of year too:eek: but I haven't got that bad yet:rotfl:
How are the rest of you doing?Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi BigMummaF that's reminded me will see if my dd gives me a moments peace to ring the clinic about the humididfier my mouth is so dry in the am my cheeks are stuck to my teeth yuk!
It is nippy here maybe I should make a scarf for the hose, don't you wish you could just land on your bed, snuggle up and go to sleep rather than all this palaver.
How are things with you mrcow is your bf still improving, hope he get's good news soon re the driving.By the way my dd (she's 2) loves your avatar.Booo!!!0 -
Have you sorted out your humidifers? I would suggest you act fairly quickly, because there are talks of funding being cut for our local Sleep Clinic.
I don't know what I would do if I had to give up Brenda.....Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.
