What shall we call ourselves then? Paps People? Darth's Invaders? Good Knights:whistle:?
As for No 1, I feel that honour should go to the OP, & don't ask me to keep count cuz some days I have 10 fingers & others I can get 11!

Count backwards from 10 to 6 on one hand; add the 5 from the other; 6+5=11

How did you get on with my gobbledeegook instructions last night mrcow were they any use?
I'm off on Mon for my 1st hol on CPAP:eek: it's just 1 of those cheap Sun caravan hol's from Mon til Fri but I'm a bit nervous about how I'll get on sleeping away from home. (also worried about how my 2 yr old will get on 1st time staying away from home, and what will we do if the weathers rubbish:confused: ) Oh dear must stop stressing myself out.

OK then Violetta---but don't ask me about getting anything other than the usual bits added to sigs & stuff---I've declared meself computerly-challenged:rotfl: Hope you enjoy just being away from the house, & I'm sure bubba will love the new playgrounds & activities on offer. Me Muvva & I went on one of those breaks to Camber Sands earlier in the year, & I'll definately be saving the coupons to go on another.
How is everyone else managing with their new bedtime buddies? More to the point, what do your partners think of the quieter nights:p Ooooohh, I don't have this problem m'sen; I imagine passion is a bit awkward;) but at least it beats the bog standard "not tonight dear, I've got a headache" line:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Folk who know me from other threads will know that I find it extremely difficult not finding something to smile about.....Life is far too short to spend being serious all the time:confused: don't you think?
Better go do some work:eek: or I'll be in trouble!

I'm not sure, the pressure seems to have calmed down, although he's now finding that the machine is drying out his nose and eyes so he only wore it for 2 hours last night.

It's been a week now and we're still settling down with it. He's getting used to it being on his face and his not panicking any more. I think it's just going to take time.

I'm not 100% certain about this, but I think you can put a little dab of petroleum jelly around the inside edge of your nostrils to help with the dryness.
I'm not sure what sort of mask you have Mrcow, but I did a trial for one that looks like that gizmo on James Bond! Roger Moore had been thrown into the shark infested indoor moat, & he pulled out a little scuba device shaped like a rifle bullet that sat on his top lip like a moustache! Anyhow, I thought the mask was so comfortable & a lot less intrusive, so hopefully there will be another style to choose from before too long.
I support V's advice, to go back to the Sleep Clinic & see if there's something that suits you better. HTH.BMFx

  • Hey all, sorry i haven't been back in for ages, sounds like everyone's getting better with their Berthas or Brendas or Darths!!

BigMummaF: It's great that you always sound so cheery, i always smile reading this thread cos of you guys!

And thanks for giving me the honour of being Bertha's buddies no:1, i will put my siggy up right away!

I'm really still not getting on great with my mask, pulled it off again last night, no idea when! It was going fine until i got my cold, and couldn't wear it for ages, now i can't get used to it at all! Silly, huh?

mrcow: I guess a humidifier attachment for the machine would help with OH's dry nose, but not his eyes. I was told that if my eyes were getting dry, then the mask was quite possibly leaking into them. When it does leak it feels really cold and drying on my eyes and i notice right away, but it might be a very slight leak. I can only echo what the others are saying about going back to the sleep clinic to see what can be done about it, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Hope everyone is getting on well, will check in again tomorrow!
