I guess you have all settled with your machines, it's been so quiet on here!

    Nighty night then........

    lol!

We've had two nights with it now.

The first night, he had it on for 2 hours, but oculdn't sleep.

Last night was better at 3 1/2 hours and he thinks he drifted off.

I just think perhaps it's going to take a little getting used to.

The first few nights are really hard, I found, but before you know it he'll be sleeping all night with it on! If it's really not comfortable then maybe some adjusting needs to be done, but i think the main thing is just to concentrate on breathing normally and not panicking with it on. I find that that itself is enough to relax me into sleep!!

    Hope tonight's even better!

:oI've really missed Brenda, cuz I too have had an awful coffy-coldy thing for weeks now. I wake in the morning with a pounding headache, so end up dozing all day, then can't sleep at night:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
But tonight, dear friends, Brenda shall once again become my beddie-buddie:eek:
    & I can't wait:D :rotfl: :D :rotfl: :D

An added benefit to the cpap, has been the vast improvement to my gums because I can sleep with my mouth closed! Bizarre or what!Plus I don't get that woolie mouth & itchy teeth all the time I can use Brenda.

Keep going to the newbies, I promise you will feel so much better for a little perseverence now.

lol, well you're having better results than us then. Still having teething problems. He could barely sleep with it at all last night as the pressure kept building up in the mask (so he had to keep turning it down).

    We will persevere!!

    Hi all how's it going.
mrcow can you increase the ramp time on your oh's machine. I was shown how to do that at the sleep clinic think mine can be between 5 min's to 30 min's might be worth checking.
It does take a while to get used to but he'll get there. Your support will make a big difference too. My oh has been brill about it all.
Glad your feeling better MigMummaF when you don't use it you realise how much it benefits you.

Not sure about whether he can increase the ramp time......there is a ramp button that you press if the pressure is too much which takes it back down to the initial pressure. That's what he kept having to press last night as the pressure was so high that it was almost choking. Is that the same thing?
