Some good news then....so pleased for you!
Don't know if you've looked at the Old Style threads for the Grocery Challenge & Lose Weight threads...both extremely helpful & very cost effective with great recipes.
There's also a thread in The Arms, curtesy of Murphy the Cat that offers good support for those of us who are bodily-challenged:D
I remember my nurse telling me tho, that when the SA is under control, everything else health-wise will follow.....they have now established a direct link between poor quality sleep & an inability to lose weight/ depression/ skin complaints eg eczema, that are agrgrevated by stress......makes you think dunnit?Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I think that's true as we've tried diets before and the weight has fallen off me and he's not really made any progress even though we're following the same diet. We're on holiday this week and I think it's a great time to start. If he could lose a couple of stone, then it would motivate him to lose the rest that's required (a couple of stone!........I say it so lightly :rotfl:)"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

I've given up using scales & prefer to use my clothing as an incentive to keep the motivation going. I know that the last thing I need when I've had a bad week, is that little needle mocking me:p
So I hope to see less of you in the coming months....meant in the nicest possible way of course:DFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi KAAT_LADY sure everyone would agree you are more than welcome to join, we are buddies not a clique;) .
How is everyone doing, been a few things in the papers recently re people being killed by drivers with (undiagnosed I think) sleep apnoea, falling asleep at the wheel. I feel awful about these poor innocent people injured and killed by driver's in this way, so a wee reminder If you are unsure in anyway that your condition is well managed get back to the sleep clinic (by bus!!). I do think there needs to be more awareness, even among the medical bod's . I know myself I'd been telling my Dr's I was so tired all the time and it was dismissed (as laziness??).
Oooh sorry for my wee rant.
Anyhoo I'm actually feeling a bit better at the moment, been in pain a long time due to the position I have to sleep in for CPAP, I bought a memory foam pillow the other week and :j pain seems to be improving so do give it a try.Booo!!!0 -

My oh is under order's to wake me up if I fall asleep without my mask on , as there is no point in letting me sleep, I'll be a waste of space the next day , but then I think my osa is quite bad over 110 episodes an hour:eek: .
You have my sympathies I know my oh is a saint to put up with me and my bedroom antics;) can't be much fun going to bed with DarthVader. I do think having a giant superking bed help's though.
Do feel free to pick our brain's or have a moan.:beer:Booo!!!0 -
Just popping into say Hi to everyone especially kaat lady.
I'm a Mum of 3 who was losing their mind until OH was diagnosed with sleep apnoea. If you think there is something that needs fixing on the CPAP machine, then go and see them. Once the machine is working properly, it will change your life (well, it did mine)"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
