Of course you can Kaat-Lady I find it good to have a partner's viewpoint I'd recommend a superking bed to anyone who has the room, they are brill. plenty of room for 3 of us in our bed (my dd will be 3 in a few weeks, we're not kinky lol).

Hello No5:D ...glad you found us! Like Violetta has said, it's good to know there are others going thru the same thing. To be honest, I'm surprised there are not more of us..

The machines do need a bit of fine tuning to get the correct level to suit the individual, but if peeps are not using them at all, there is really no point in tinkering with the pressure levels etc.

That^^^ is NOT said in my preachy voice either......more of a 'wish I'd realised it sooner' way:o Like 99.9% of us who are suddenly told to try & sleep with a pressurized hurricane blowin up the shnozz........cus you don't think it's making the slightest difference......& it's only after a week or two when the fog lifts & you realise that you feel 'awake' for probably the first time in many years.I have to be honest & say that there are some nights when I 'forget', but the difference in my mood especially, is quite frightening.

I plug mesen in as soon as I'm actually in bed & carry on reading, puzzling etc then if I drop off it's only the bedside lamp that needs any attention. Guess I'm lucky in that respect cuz I don't have to worry about bedroom olympics:p but I reckon that it shouldn't be too difficult to 'mask up' after the final race;)

***Nearly forgot....the stuff like menthol or olbas oil goes on the FILTER. It really is only boiled, bottled or filtered water in the tank. HTH.x***

Hi all - It's great to find this thread with so much great advice.

I got my SleepCUBE (cpap) about a month ago and I've been surprised how quickly and easily I've adapted to it. Initially I recorded myself sleeping (that sounds weird when I type it lol) to see if I was still having the apneas / snoring and after some adjustment of the mask (a RESmed Ultra Mirage II nasal mask) everything seems to be groovy - no more falling asleep at my Pc at 9am etc.

I just have a couple of questions: my mask seems to continually vent air during use, now I think from what I've read this is normal, but I just wanted to check.

Also I priced up a spare silicone mask seal (the removable but you wash) and RESmed are charging about £45 - anyone know of any cheaper places for mask spares just in case.

Hi All how are you getting on?
Hi Teffers I'm like KAAT-LADY I just get my mask from the sleep clinic, it does take a while to get thing's right though. I had the wrong sized mask at first, have a look on the forums at the Snoring and sleep apnoea association they are a bit more knowledgable , there is a whole section on machines and masks I'm sur you'll find info re buying masks there.
